Babies could do the most hilarious things at the most unexpected times. Sometimes, a baby monitor happens to capture some of those antics. One mom who woke up to the sounds coming from her baby monitor could never have imagined the reason behind those noises. The woman, Dara, who goes by @bigmamadfromnyc on Instagram, overheard the noises coming from the baby's room and couldn't help but laugh after she understood what the baby was trying to do. The video received over 11.8 million views.

The baby was actually practicing fake sneezes when the mom heard the baby monitor at 3 AM. "POV: You decided 3 AM was the perfect time to practice fake sneezes," the text overlay of the video read. The baby started with light sneezes and kept increasing the volume of the sneezes until she was screaming. The sneezing got louder and louder and the mom couldn't help herself and laughed. "The way I was crying laughing when she got to the screams," the caption read. "One of the first things that made our daughter giggle when she was a couple of months old were fake sneezes," Dara told Newsweek, explaining the reason behind the practice. The parents from Phoenix would often fake a sneeze to make their baby laugh.

"As everyone knows, babies don't sleep when they learn new skills—and she had chosen 3 AM that night to perfect this one," the mom added. Both the woman and her husband were awake after listening to the noises from the baby monitor. "It went on for about 10 minutes and she was satisfied enough with her progress to go back to sleep." The video received over 1 million likes and many parents in the comments section of the video could relate to the ordeal the couple experienced with their baby.

@fitmama80 wrote, "My daughter was around seven months at the height of the pandemic. She learned to fake a cough and would randomly do it out in public. And people would be horrified. I would have to quickly be like she’s fine, she’s not sick, I promise." @yaya_childs commented, "When my first was learning animal noises, I was lying with her to try to get her to nap and she just started whispering 'hee haw hee haw hee haw' and I could not keep it together." @fbg83 remarked, "Is she doing it in her sleep? My husband talks in his sleep and acts out his dreams. He passed that on to our daughter and one night, we could hear her cackling to herself in her crib. Scared the crap out of us. We checked her and she was out cold."

@tfarries17 shared, "My son used to talk in his sleep as an infant/toddler and it would freak me out because his speech would be so clear and he would say sentences, even though when he was awake, his speech was that of a baby, just single words. Every time I'd sit up and watch him because it scared me to the point I couldn't fall asleep." Another user expressed, "My little 2-year-old nephew would quote Miss Rachel. I sleep in his room when I visit and I will feel his little hands on my eyes and he will be like, 'Can you say open? Say Open.' And when I fall for it and peek, he will squeal and clap in delight and say, 'Ah, good job, you opened your eyes.' At 3 am!" In a 4-month update, the mom shared how her daughter's fake sneezes had gotten "Oscar-worthy."
