Trusting one's gut can be the right choice in several instances. In one mom's case, it saved her daughter's life. The woman had been filming her daughter as she slept in her dad's arms. She immediately noticed that there was something off with her eyes and decided to get it checked. Just a couple of hours later, the girl was diagnosed with a major brain bleed and was fighting to survive. The mom shared the incident on her TikTok page, where she goes by @loonie93, to spread awareness. The video received over 5.6 million views.

In the clip, the girl was sleeping in her dad's arms when her mom noticed that there was something off about her daughter. "I had a gut feeling something wasn't right, even when her dad, who sometimes would say I was exaggerating," the caption read. "Something told us we needed to take her to the hospital." The parents went to the hospital with the little girl, and she underwent a CT Scan. The family was just waiting for the results when the mom's intuition proved to be right. "She had a major seizure and was unconscious for almost six hours." The mom went on, "When the ambulance arrived, they said she needed to be airlifted because they didn't have the equipment to transport her safely."

The parents couldn't be with the little girl, as many pediatric specialists treated her during the flight. "At the hospital, she was taken straight to intensive care. Dozens of doctors and nurses rushed around her, running tests and asking what had happened." The mom had no explanation, as everything had happened all of a sudden. "They found no trauma or bruise that could explain the brain bleed." The girl wasn't responding and was put into a medically induced coma. "I prayed, asking God for another chance. Then, as I was losing hope, I heard her crying down the hall." The doctors hurried into the hall with the toddler in their arms and told the parents to call out to her. "She woke up."

Later, the parents got to know that the little girl had a cavernoma, a cluster of abnormal veins in her brain that ultimately triggered the bleed. The mom felt "blessed" to have her daughter back. "Today she's a happy, healthy little girl, and I'm so grateful I trusted my mom-intuition—it may have saved her life." "I’m trying to give information about cavernomas. They are unfortunately very common, and a lot of people have them. Some people live their entire lives without having any issues, but others aren't so lucky," the mom explained in one of the comments.

People in the comments section of the video were thankful that the mom caught the condition on time and that the girl had recovered well. @2madre38 wrote, "Oh my God, the amount of relief I felt reading the end and knowing she is well and alive. Baby girl is so strong." @caxmylove3 commented, "I was diagnosed with a cavernoma last year. She’s so strong! Glad she’s doing better." In another video, the mom shared more information about cavernomas and her daughter's condition.

@loonie93 I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right, even when her dad, who sometimes would said I was exaggerating. Something told us we needed to take her to the hospital. After a CT scan and while we waited for the results, the worst happened, she had a major seizure and was unconscious for almost six hours. When the ambulance arrived, they said she needed to be airlifted because they didn’t have the equipment to transport her safely. We couldn’t ride with her since several pediatric specialists had to treat her during the flight. At the hospital, she was taken straight to intensive care. Dozens of doctors and nurses rushed around her, running tests and asking what had happened. All I could say was, “She was fine… and then she wasn’t.” They found no trauma or bruise that could explain the brain bleed. Without fully realizing it, I signed papers allowing a medically induced coma because she still wasn’t responding. I prayed, asking God for another chance. Then, as I was losing hope, I heard her crying down the hall. The doctors rushed out with her and told us to call her name. She woke up. Later that night, we finally got answers: she has a cavernoma—a tangled vein in the brain that eventually caused the bleed. We were blessed to get her back. Today she’s a happy, healthy little girl, and I’m so grateful I trusted my mom intuition—it may have saved her life.#whiterabbit#fyp#daughter#cavernoma#momintuition ♬ original sound - n1n4603
