Mom hated leaving her baby for work every morning—but grandpa's response left her awe-struck

It’s difficult for moms to get back to work after their maternity leave. So much has happened in that short span, a major change being that their baby is now in the world, right beside them. Having to leave them, even for a few hours, can feel disheartening. A mom named Sarah Tvrdik (@sarahinnebraska) had a similar feeling about getting back to work after bringing her baby into the world. She didn’t want to be separated from her daughter and wondered how she would manage being without her baby and vice versa. Her dad realized her discomfort and came up with a wholesome solution to make her feel better. It has her awe-struck.

The mom revealed that ever since she began going to work, she was upset about having to leave her baby. Like most mothers, there was an unsettling feeling, bringing insecurity and a roller coaster of emotions. When her dad learned of the situation, he decided to surprise his daughter with a beautiful response. He took his 8-month-old granddaughter and drove her to the mom’s workplace so she could see her. “I was nervous about missing her when I returned to work, so he offered to drive her to see me,” Tvrdik remarked. As a result, the grandpa drives her every day to her office so she can have lunch with her baby.

"I wasn't sure how well it would work but most days, he goes to pick her up and brings her to me and we sit in my car and have lunch and catch up,” she said, per Newsweek. “It’s the best part of my day,” the mom exclaimed. She also mentioned that on days her dad can’t make it, her mom tries to get her. The best part about this whole experience is the unwavering support of her parents and the valuable time they get to spend with their granddaughter. Her video captured glimpses of her dad in his car as the mom came over and was reunited with the love of her life. Her smile, along with the infant's chuckles, is just a priceless memory in the making.
"It feels great. I look forward to my lunch hour and it really fills my cup, kind of giving me a boost of energy to power through the rest of the day,” Tvrdik remarked. The woman expressed her love for her father for showing up and giving her that extra time with her daughter. "Like, is there an award I can give him for being so selfless? Maybe I'll have one made at one of those trophy places—not joking,” she said. The mom feels completely loved and safe knowing she has people like her dad to support and be with her as she juggles life and motherhood.

“These conscious gestures have had an overflow effect into the rest of our lives for the better," the mom noted. “Love comes in all forms and this has been such a selfless example of that,” she added. “I love you, Dad, I couldn’t be more grateful,” she wrote. @hoobe1_1 said, “How would the world look if everyone had a Dad like yours?” @lindsaydfraser added, “This is wealth, you're a rich momma!”
