Having the guidance and love of a grandparent is one of the greatest privileges of life. Even in their old age, they go out of their way to do little things to keep their grandkids happy. A woman named Lauren, who goes by @renblank on X, revealed that her grandpa gave her one of the most priceless gifts on her birthday. As soon as she got a glimpse of the item, she was struck with a tear-jerking joy like no other.

“Today, for my birthday, my grandpa gave me 3 books,” Lauren wrote in her caption. She explained that each of the books was written by her grandfather about the time and memories he had with her when she was between the ages of 2 and 5. The books were simple notebooks with no fancy decor or so. The grandpa wrote his beloved granddaughter's name and numbered the books in order from 1 to 3. Sharing a glimpse of the inside, the pages were filled with block letter handwriting, going on and on and on. The grandpa had given her the most invaluable treasure—a truckload of memories and messages in the form of stories.

“I am speechless,” she remarked, as the pictures captured her flipping through the hard work of the elderly man. He had written several pages and it only showed the heartfelt effort he put into making it even more special than it already was. The glimpses revealed that there were portions of everything from the woman’s life recorded in the books. The things she said, her experiences with him and more. Lauren revealed one tiny bit, presumably the beginning and one can’t help but tear up on the title that reads, “Papa’s Story.” Dated back in February 2003, the subtopic read, “Tales of a two-year-old.”

The introduction read, “Hi Lauren, I’m just starting this so someday you might read it for fun. It’s going to be a day-to-day record of you and me.” People were in awe of the grandpa’s adorable gesture and couldn’t imagine how precious it was to Lauren. Many commented to applaud the man for his consistency and commitment to writing three books. Others noted that the gesture itself was extraordinary. @perfectrose2011 said, “That really is the most loving gift in my lifetime I've ever heard of. You have one magical grandpa.” @JillMansell added, “That's incredible - the loveliest thing I've ever seen.”
