Kids are the most creative beings one can ever find. Their curiosity pushes them to discover the simplest things in the most vibrant and memorable ways. If you’re a parent, you know you wouldn’t leave even one of your toddlers alone or unattended, especially in a room full of things. Whether it's toys, furniture or even show pieces, they will make themselves comfortable and acquainted with the items in flabbergasting ways! Mom of three, Katherine Fehily, hilariously made the decision of leaving not one but all three of her kiddos unattended, per Newsweek. Her young daughter Aspyn was left with her twin brothers Ridge and Jameson while the mom and dad made a super quick trip to the store. Little did they know, they’d return to a potential murder scene.

The mom shared that they were gone only for a few minutes and had no idea of the havoc they’d be welcomed with. My daughter Aspyn burst in like an emergency alert, telling me, 'Mommy, you need to come downstairs now! It's a mess!'" the mom recalled. Fearing the worst, she went downstairs but was stopped midway with a horrifying sight. "Halfway down the stairs, I spotted a red trail that looked suspiciously like something from a horror movie," she said. With red liquid all over the stairs and around, the mom was jaw-dropped. It was moments before she realized that nothing was wrong but it was just creative and happy shenanigans.

“I turned the corner and—surprise!—there stood my two boys, cackling as they'd just pulled off the heist of the century,” Fehily remarked. The kids have stumbled upon a MiO liquid, a red liquid used by the family to flavor water. As soon as they got their hands on it, everything went haywire and needless to say, the floor was soaking red. The mom added, "Their hands and feet were painted red, the remnants of whatever chaos they'd concocted, and they were leaving a crime scene of red footprints all over the carpet.” While she was glad that nothing was wrong, she had no idea how to respond.

The twins, however, were delighted with their artwork. Before they could escape with their little giggles, the mom confronted them. “I finally cornered them, scooped all three kids up, fully clothed, and plopped them in the tub like they were about to enter a wet and wild version of prison,” Fehily recalled. In a video on Instagram, the mom shared a glimpse of the hallways covered in the blood-like liquid with footprints, finger marks and whatnot. It seemed nothing less than a person struggling before they were murdered. “This may look like a murder scene. However, there was no murder, although I would like to murder someone for this,” the mom hysterically said.

In conclusion, the mom took the whole situation positively, she got her trio into the bathtub and cleaned them up. "It's not just a mess; it's an art installation titled 'Chaos in Crimson,’” she vibrantly noted. Sharing a poignant reminder to fellow parents, the mom remarked, “If you can survive a toddler crime scene, you can handle pretty much anything life throws your way.” @erinsechrist asked, "How quiet were they while this was happening?!" @xoxo.iaea wrote, "Just in time for Halloween."
