It's the children who learn from their parents and guardians most of the time. But every once in a while, they offer profound lessons that leave elders awestruck. Tarschia Tarter (@taschiatarter) is a mother to two young kids and she often posts videos on parenting on social media. Recently, she uploaded a video in which her young daughter, Brynlee, is seen giving Tarter a heartwarming reminder after she made a little mess in the kitchen. The video proved to be a valuable life lesson for many.

While preparing dinner for the family, Tarter recorded her daughter accidentally spilling some seasoning before putting it into a ziplock bag. The mom was visibly stressed for a brief moment until Brynlee gave her a gentle reminder, which served as words of encouragement. "It's okay. Sometimes, we make a mess, Mom. This time, I made a mess. Sometimes, I am making mistakes like when I was a baby," Brynlee spoke to Tarter. Tarter acknowledged that it was okay and realized that there was no point in stressing over something so trivial.

Talking to Newsweek, Tarter recalled that she was about to make some chicken tikka masala for dinner after putting her 1-year-old to sleep. Brynlee was helping her in the kitchen when the mishap occurred. "The kids weren't napping and it is just a tough season of life where they are so young and both need my attention," she told the outlet. Recalling how she felt after listening to her daughter's eye-opening response, Tarter said, "In the sweetest voice, she said, 'It's OK, mom, sometimes, we make messes. I made messes with my food when I was a baby' and it instantly reminded me that everything really is okay."

"When she said that, I was thinking to myself, 'You're right, it really is okay.' I always do my best to talk to my kids in a calm, gentle way. When we make messes, I say, 'It's okay, we will clean it up.' I never want them to be scared to make mistakes and I always want them to know that I'll be there to help them when they need it," Tarter continued.

She also mentioned that the close age gap between her kids could be difficult to handle at times, but she still "wouldn't change it for the world." The comments section appreciated Tarter's gentle parenting tactics, which could clearly be seen in her daughter's response. @yunis.inkdxo commented, "My daughter and I got stuck at the airport during a layover one time and had to sleep there because our flight got changed to the next morning. I felt so bad and she looked at me and said 'I’m having so much fun with you Mom, I love you.' She was only 5 and I wanted to cry."

@kperry427 wrote, "Not once was she even worried you would be mad and instead spoke to you like you speak to her. Good job, Mama. Sometimes they know just what we need." @princessmelllow mentioned, "I swear little people are so healing. They truly bring life full circle. Thank you for raising our future and it's ok to struggle. Humans struggle. But we also persevere!" @meaganmikolas added, "The slight eyebrow raise and head tilt when she said it’s okay, you really said 'you know what you are right' you have taught her beautifully, seeing someone scared when they spill as an adult is so sad."
