Mom saw stranger peeping through daughter’s window — what she did during police chase left everyone stunned

A person might show surprising amounts of strength when their loved ones are in danger. A mom did just that when she felt her teen daughter was in danger because a stranger was peeping through her window. The woman, Phylis Pena, pulled over and immediately called the police. She explained everything that was happening to the police and they started running after the suspect. The mom did something unexpected during the chase to make sure that her daughter would be safe in the house, per A&E.

"I saw someone looking into my daughter's window," Pena shared. "So I called the police and told them what had happened." The woman was explaining to the officials that she had seen a guy in a gray and black hoodie standing close to her house. He was standing in the front of her house when she arrived and had probably not noticed her because he didn't move from his spot for a moment. When the person finally noticed the mom, he started running and tripped over a stone before continuing in one direction. "I don't have a clue who he is," the mom told the police. She revealed that the suspect had blonde hair and ran in a certain direction.

Pena and her 15-year-old daughter got out of their house and waited as the police went in search of the man. The police finally saw him and told him to come to them, but he still tried to run and escape them. The man continued to run and the police followed him. He even escaped their taser during the chase. The officer screamed and asked the other cops to catch the man. But as he was about to escape, the mom started running towards him, in hopes of slowing him down. "I am just thinking if I could just slow him down, trip him up a little bit, give them a chance to catch up." The mom stood in the direction where the man was running off to and took him down the moment he tried to get past her.
They collided quite hard and the woman managed to keep him down until the officers came to arrest him. "It was concrete, so it didn't feel the greatest. I wanted to make sure that the message was clear. You know, don't come back," Pena expressed. "I am sorry," the suspect finally said after protesting the arrest. "Good job, ladies," the officer told the mom. The 19-year-old was arrested. He was not charged for voyeurism and pleaded guilty to evading arrest with prior conviction, possession of controlled substances and was sentenced to 10 months in prison. "Mom, are you sure you are okay?" the daughter asked. "I am fine, baby," the mom answered.
"To this day, I have no idea how I tackled him like that," Pena pointed out. "Don't mess with my kids, man." People praised the mom for her brave action in the comments section of the video. @Butterfli-i6e wrote, "What a rugby tackle that was, even the tip-toe movements, brilliant. He evaded the taser, but there is no evading an angry mum. Excellent." @ShesSoHuggable commented, "Honestly, I love that the cop looked right at them and acknowledged what they did with a 'good job, ladies.'" @mr.v6602 remarked, "That mother reminded me of a lioness who just reacts completely out of instinct with appropriate fearless rage and fury! Once she launched, it was game over!"
