People with shorter height often need help from others to reach for stuff kept on a height. They usually use a stool, or a ladder or ask someone taller than them to carry out the task. A short person also avoids a situation where they have to go to extra lengths to reach a box of cereal or any other groceries in public spaces. A mom named Crissy Charles (@mamashark4) is well-acquainted with this plight and has come up with an ingenious solution for when shopping at Walmart. The mom shared an effortless hack so short customers can reach for their preferred items kept on the higher shelves at Walmart stores without compromising or jumping.

The mom was shopping at Walmart and noted how difficult it was for short people to reach cereal and other products on the higher shelves. She decided to share a genius hack she’d been gatekeeping for a while. Charles confidently walked toward the end of the cereal aisle and picked up a hook-like structure hanging on the end shelf. The mom noted that these are available at the end of most shelves at Walmart. She grabbed the same and went over to the cereal shelf and effortlessly used the tool to attach its hook to the cereal box and pull it out and down.

The item being a slim and long stick-structure, makes up for the height short people need in the moment and there’s no extra stretching or workout to do to pick out their preferred item. The trick might work only at Walmart as the tool may not be available at all stores but you can now keep an eye out for similar items and ease your shopping trip. Several people thanked the mom for her genius tip and for saving them from the strenuous tasks they had to perform to reach the top shelf. Others even shared the antics they had to pull to get their product before knowing the trick. @natalie7912 said, “5 feet and I just stand there for a taller person to walk by.”

@jewelsdaugther2 said, “I’m 5 foot and I have always relied on the kindness of strangers to help me out. This is by far the best TikTok I’ve watched.” @jessicavedajones said, “And here I grab the nearest box on the shelf or stand on the bottom shelf and struggle!” @marnibell added, “What!? How did I not know this? I’m 5’1 on a good hair day and I have to wait for someone tall to pity me.” Others shared the tricks they use instead that have helped them.

@angie.0701 said. “I keep an expandable back scratcher in my purse and use it when I can’t reach something.” @anime2314 said, “I usually get a broom from household items and use it to get the stuff I need.” @susanstellato remarked, “I have to check my Walmart. I either climb, use another item or wait for a tall person to walk by.” Even taller people noted that this idea is helpful for them as well. @debbie419 noted, “I’m tall. I use this to get stuff out of the back of the bottom shelf without having to get on my hands or knees to do it.”
