Parents might find it difficult to have some conversations with their child. But in a few cases, one has to talk about scary things to prepare the child for a situation. A 3-year-old boy's mom found herself in a similar predicament before her brain surgery. She was asked to prepare her son before she was operated on for her brain tumor. The mom, Scarlett Hamilton, was really scared herself, but she tried her best to explain her situation to her son, Zion. Nonetheless, nothing could have prepared her for her son's response, per a TikTok video, where the mom goes by @scarletthamilton. The clip received 243,700 views.

"This morning I woke up to the phone call I have been dreading, but tried my best to prepare myself for," the text overlay of the video read as Scarlett sobbed. "They told me to prepare Zi, but at 3 years old, it is hard to understand." The mom still tried to explain to the boy that she had to visit the hospital because a "ball" was developing in her head and pressing on her eye, making it hard for her to see. She told him that she had been to the hospital and had talked to the doctors. "Did you go without me?" the boy questioned. The mom held him closer and said, "No, you were in bed." Scarlett tried to explain what would happen to her in simple terms and pointed out that her hair would be shaved and she would receive stitches on her head.

"I am telling you because Mom is going to be very poorly," Scarlett expressed. The kid looked upset when he heard that, so the mom hugged him closer to reassure him. She also told him that he would be living with his grandparents while she is at the hospital to make him feel better. "It will make mummy better," the mom went on. "They'll cut a part of my head and then put it back together. So mummy is not going to be poorly for much longer." She pointed out that the surgery was important because the "ball-like" thing in her head was growing behind her eye and making it hard for her to see properly.

As an example, Sacrlett revealed that she would be able to take Zion to the park and push him on the roundabout without feeling sick. That news made the boy a little excited as he smiled a little and screamed, "Yay!" The mom told her son that he would have to be very patient and brave, as she might look a little sick for a while, but she was going to be fine. "In three and a half weeks, mummy is going to be at the hospital and you are going to be at nanna's for a little bit." She told Zion that he could come visit her at the hospital with his grandparents. People applauded the mom's courage as she had the difficult conversation with her child.

The woman's dad, @johnnybegood527, wrote, "Stay strong, my beautiful girl. We will get you through this and we will be there for you and Zion all the way through it and after, you will be better and back to your normal self. We got ya and him. Love you, Dad." @jenniferbishopx commented, "As a mother, my heart is absolutely breaking for you. I can’t even comprehend the feeling in your stomach while having this conversation." @grace.hicks2000 remarked, "Oh, Scarlett, you explained that to him perfectly. No sugar coating. I hope everything goes smoothly and you have a healthy recovery."
