Seeing their kid in any kind of danger can be very alarming for parents. However, a dad managed to keep his calm and help his baby with breathing difficulties when she pulled her breathing tube out of curiosity. The mom quickly rushed in too and the duo looked after their daughter as a team and managed to save her. The footage of the same was captured by the baby monitor camera, so the mom, Danni, shared it on Instagram, where she goes by @billiesbreathingbattle. The video has received 1.6 million views since it was posted on 2nd May.

The little girl, Billie, removed her breathing tube out of curiosity, the moment her dad stepped out for a bit. She cried a little, so the man immediately ran in, asking her not to pull at it. He got into action and put his daughter over a pillow as he called his wife and informed her what had happened. He got the old tube out and his wife came in with a new one. The parents worked together and ensured that the baby was okay. In the caption, the mom pointed out that the baby is never left alone. "Billie has definitely discovered her tracheostomy now and is becoming extremely inquisitive, which is frightening for us."

"She doesn’t understand that she shouldn’t disconnect her vent ALL. DAY. LONG. Or that she shouldn’t pull on her tracheostomy with both hands and yank it out of her neck," Danni further shared. "We will continue to teach her that she shouldn’t touch it, but unfortunately can see this happening again." The mom was thankful that the baby was fine after the incident and there were no visible signs of harm. "Typically, she decides to do it just as Daddy steps outside of the room for a split second. Little pickle!" the post concluded. People appreciated the parents' calm demeanour and quick work while dealing with the situation in the comments section of the video.

@anits__ wrote, "Are either of you medical professionals, or are you guys just that amazing? You stayed so calm while working so quickly and efficiently together." @nbekahbwn commented, "As a complex care nurse, I want to say WELL DONE! It doesn’t matter how many books you read; the real learning happens during times like this! (not that I wish this to happen to anyone)." @hhayalls remarked, "As a mother of two, I realized I was holding my breath by the time I reached the end of the video. The way you stayed so calm and responded instantly brought tears to my eyes. May God protect you and your baby. Lots of love."

@kit.kat.1988 shared, "I love the support you give each other in that moment, until your baby is old enough to learn why not to play with the equipment, you are both doing amazing." The mom's Instagram account is dedicated to sharing snippets of her life with her baby, who requires complex care. In one clip, the mom shared why they had to get a tracheostomy for their daughter. She explained that the girl was 13 weeks premature and weighed around 790 grams. She had issues with her breathing since she was born. Billie had chronic lung disease and tracheobronchomalacia, which contributed to her breathing issues. The parents had to get a tracheostomy for the baby at six months old so she could get a chance at growing and developing.
