Norwegian swimmer is obsessed with Olympic Village's chocolate muffins and we are here for it
Athletes, fans and spectators are all looking forward to the remaining days of the Olympic games. Everyone has found something to obsess over, from participating in the Paris Games to winning medals. However, for Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen, there’s a new “bae” in town apart from his usual love for the sport. Christiansen is smitten by a chocolatey delight being served at the Olympic Village, and words fail to describe how much the athlete loves it. The Olympian has been sharing many videos of his experience at his third Olympics through his TikTok (@henrikchristians1), and most of them are overshadowed by his love for the chocolate muffins he gets at the village.
The swimmer first chanced upon the treat while reviewing the meals served in the Olympic Village in a video. His “11/10 insanely good” rating for the indulgence was enough to tell that he was going to buy more.

As expected, several of his following videos saw the delicious muffin make an appearance. In one of his videos, Christiansen shared a close-up of the muffin. Nothing could tear him apart from his beloved muffin. He captioned the video, “When bae is looking like a snack.”

As a distance swimmer, a high-calorie intake is recommended for Christiansen on heavier training days. However, on the days he competes, the athlete cuts down on his caloric intake. He goes from 7,000 calories to 4,000, per TODAY. Yet, there is always enough space for him to include the chocolate muffins in his diet. When asked about how many muffins he has been eating in a day, the swimmer couldn’t recollect the number. “I haven’t really kept track of all of them. I think I’ve shown off more muffins than I’ve actually eaten,” he said.
In another hilarious video captioned, "Guys, I think I have a problem," Christiansen is seen in a dilemma as he hysterically sneaks around 3 muffins into his drawer with an evident dollop of chocolate and crumbs on his face. In a separate video with the delicious dessert, Christiansen does a hilarious rendition of the kids' rhyme, "Do you know the muffin man?" He is captured tucking into a muffin. The caption reads, “I hereby declare myself as the Olympic muffin man.”

People are here for the rest of the swimmer’s enchanting journey with the muffin as they also wish him luck for his upcoming 800-meter and 1500-meter freestyle at the Olympics. @lilypop8484 accurately put it, “I don’t even know what sport you compete in but I know you like these dang muffins.” @cattheff20 added, “They better send this man home with a box of muffins.” @callansmith17 exclaimed, “I’m going to need a whole documentary on these muffins.” @sendbac0n added, “Every time I see you I’m looking for the muffin.” @verticalsea remarked, “I hope whoever makes these muffins sponsors you because never have I ever wanted muffins so badly in my entire life.”
