Nurse suggests ingenius way to stay warm in below-zero temperatures — it requires 3 easy steps

With wavering temperatures and unpredictable weather, it’s pretty chilly during winters in different parts of the world. Many countries have seen temperatures between 0 and -18 degrees Celsius and worse. To remain warm in such weather is a challenge, especially if you have to step out. A nurse named Laura (@laura.in.valhalla), living in Norway, revealed that there is a simple and efficient way to stay safe from the biting cold. The woman moved from Spain to Norway and has been living in freezing temperatures, per Bored Panda. With the average temperature around -6 degrees, it is necessary to wear the right clothing and stay warm and Laura has aced just how to do that.

The woman begins by explaining that she follows a “three-layer rule,” which is a life-saver for her. “Our first layer is a thermal,” she says. She suggests Merino wool and notes that it’s efficient in keeping one warm. The woman also puts on socks, so no cold sneaks in through the gaps visible with pants. The second layer consists of clothing that is pretty unusual for many people. The nurse puts on a pair of ski pants and notes that she prefers wearing the same while stepping out. Over these, she wears a pair of jeans. She also dons a thick sweater. For the third step, the nurse wears a thick puffer jacket.

She also suggests using extras like scarves, a hat, gloves and so on, so no part of the skin is exposed directly to the cold. The woman looks all cozy and ready to step out in the cold with this genius 3-layer hack that is being appreciated by many. The nurse notes that the hack requires one to sacrifice a bit of their styling but it ensures to keep the person warm. In the comments, a few people questioned wearing so many chunky layers to work. However, the nurse explained that it was mainly for keeping one warm when they're outdoors or traveling, getting chores done, etc. She said, “I only wear those layers when I know I’m going to be cold on the street. At work, I wear a normal nurse uniform.”

In another comment, the woman added that the idea behind wearing layers is to take them off per the setting or what feels cozy and comfortable. She also mentioned that the attire can feel "overwhelming" at first but one will eventually get used to it. It seemed like a useful tip to many viewers. @davidperezboza wrote, “Since I’m always hot, it’s actually what I do. Except the first layer is always a short-sleeved shirt, then a jacket and a coat.” @aitor552 added, “I wear 6 layers in Vitor and it’s like Norway. A cotton-base layer, a thermal layer, a T-shirt, a sweatshirt, a light sports jacket and a down jacket. It works like a bullet-proof vest.” @iorekby remarked, “I’m going like this in winter in Albacete.” @lauraaochaavo17 noted, “I follow that rule and keep myself warm while living in Seville.”
