Each stranger might have a story that a person couldn't even begin to fathom in just one meeting. A mom connected with a stranger after getting to know her story. The older woman came to the mom at Walmart and asked her if she could hug her twins. The reason behind her request left the woman quite surprised and she ended up striking a meaningful conversation with her. Later on, the mom, Landra January, took to Facebook to share the story with people and what she got out of it.

"I took the twins to Walmart today for our weekly grocery shopping. An older woman approached me in the cereal aisle and I instantly sighed in annoyance. I knew the 'typical twin questions' were about to start pouring out of her mouth," January began. The woman shared that she has to answer people's questions about twins which takes about twenty minutes extra every time she gets out. "She neared my cart and stopped. 'Here we go again' I thought. She asked all the typical things, told me how sweet they were and continued to babble on with the boys. I was antsy and just ready to go," the mom recounted. The woman turned to look at the aisle hoping that the woman would be done and let her leave.

"She put her hand on top of mine that was resting on the cart. 'I know you probably hate this and I'm sorry to take up so much of your time. You see, I lost my only grandchild last year and about the only time I see kids his age is when I do my grocery shopping,' she said," the mom recounted. She ended up inviting the woman to come and look at the fish with her and the boys so they could keep talking. The woman's kids were excited and screaming, "Fishy, fishy, fishy," as they reached the counter. "You don't know what I would give to be able to hear my grandson laugh one last time," the woman told the mom. She asked, "May I hug your boys?" and the mom told her to go ahead.

"She bent down to hug Darrio, my not-as-friendly twin and he reached his arms out and said 'LUH YOU!' She hugged Dheigo and then hugged me and said 'I love all 3 of you too' and headed toward the checkout," January shared. "Do you know what my point is? My point is how quickly my attitude changed once I connected with her as another human being with feelings." She continued, "It made me wonder; how much nicer would we all be if we knew one another's struggles? Raise damn good humans." People took to the comments section of the post to express their thoughts on the incident.

Dawn Caldwell wrote, "I experience the same with my twins...It does make you stop and think...thank you for the reminder." Toni Stewart commented, "My eyes teared up. It just takes a few minutes of your time to make someone happy!" Hannah Williamson remarked, "Seriously. Such a perception changer. My girls are what you call virtual twins. One is through adoption and one is biological. They are less than four weeks apart and we get a LOT of questions in public." Jody Taylor shared, "How kind of you to give her some time. She won't forget you."
