The service industry is notorious for making their employees work long hours in exchange for poor wages. However, changes are slowly dawning in with workers in Californian fast food chains earning at least $20 an hour, per CBS News. Still, a lot of the service industry workers highly depend on tips from customers to make an extra income and pay for their necessities. A woman named Nailah, who goes by @mooskiondabeat on TikTok, is one of those workers who is employed at the Waffle House. She uploaded a video to reveal how much she actually made on her first day at the job while she was still training for working at the outlet.

"I’m satisfied if this is a slow day but I’m at a really good location so this probably varies," the caption of the video stated. Nailah sat in her car and brought out the cash she had collected as tips that day. "My first day is done at training. That means, I was by myself today and I had nobody to help me. So, we are going to do a little tip count and see how much I made for my first day," Nailah spoke to the camera. She went on to mention that it was a slow day at the job and started arranging her dollar bills in order. "I only had like 15 tables today. So this is between 15 tables," Nailah said while flashing the currency notes to the camera. "I would say that I had some generous tippers."

The biggest tip I got was $22 and $50 because she let me keep the change on a to-go order. But I've never been a server before. I've been a server at the club and stuff but I didn't really like it and I didn't really make that much money." Nailah admitted that she was not a pro while she was serving at the clubs but felt like she was good at working in the fast-food chains. Then she counted all her tips and it was a total of $135. "I made $135 which is not bad. My goal is just to make, like, the bare minimum. I want to make a hundred a day obviously, to pay my bills," Nailah concluded. Some of the TikTok commentators were surprised at the amount of money she was making while others confirmed that some of these outlets really pay generously.

It's that good. Just location and everyday customers servers made less than me I would bring 370 on a day." @jessa.pineda0 wondered, "Is it a good job to work at? I’ve never been a server before so lowkey kinda nervous. I keep seeing people confused about the aprons are they really that weird?" @jennifer.lynn07 revealed, "I worked at Waffle House for 15 years and people sleep on how much money you make! Good job!" @honeyyy.butterr added, "I remember those days and easy quick money. Wishing the best for you love."
