Postpartum mom records her pet cat helping her with diapers and it is the cutest thing on the internet today

The postpartum period is a challenging phase, and having support from as many people as possible is often a game-changer. Even seemingly simple chores like changing a diaper can get overwhelming and having help, even if it’s your pet cat, is a blessing in disguise. A mom named Taylor Mickle–who goes by @taylormickle1 on TikTok–revealed that one of her cats, Noel, has been sweetly assisting with baby diaper changes, per Newsweek. The video shared by the mom on TikTok is melting hearts and perfectly encapsulates what a rewarding experience it can be to have supportive pets.

“We adopted her from the Sarama Animal Rescue. She’s always been the sweetest girl,” the mom mentioned. She revealed that she had two sons, Christopher and Michael. The cat got right to work and tried her best to help Mickle in even the littlest way possible. “No one tells you how hard postpartum is, and this was my second time going through it, but I also had a 15-month-old to take care of,” Mickle explained. She was a little anxious and nervous initially, as her son was born a little small. “All three of my cats got me through that time, and each of them did something special to help me,” she mentioned.

The internet is in awe of Noel’s sweet gesture that has made a relieving difference for Mickle. “It was the second night our second son was brought home,” the mom explained. “We noticed in the morning we had a bunch of diapers at our bedroom door the next morning and knew it was one of the cats,” she added. In the video, she shared how Noel would instantly show up to her room with a diaper in her mouth, come up to the bed and leave it at her feet. “What’s something weird that got you through postpartum?” she asked, revealing Noel’s sweet gesture that helped her.

Further in the video, the mom got out of her room to show how much effort the feline put into getting those diapers. She walked down a flight of stairs, went to the spot where Mickle kept the diapers and made her way back right up to the room with another diaper. “My cat would bring my baby a diaper anytime my baby cried or I asked for one. Game changer at 3 am,” she remarked in her caption. Dr. Warner, Aimee Warner, a veterinary surgeon in the UK and the resident veterinarian at Waggel, noted that cats may observe the addition of a baby, per Parents. “Your cat will thrive alongside your baby through patient and respectful care of their personal boundaries,” she explained.

Mickle also gratefully recalled how Noel had alerted her about a health issue previously. She mentioned she had an arterial dissection and was admitted to the ICU. “One of the reasons I even went to the ER is because my cats, and Noel specifically, would not leave me alone.” @sophiepr90 said, “Mama cats will sometimes help each other with their kittens. I wonder if that’s what she thinks she’s doing.” @sandyrhen added, “Your cats were like, ‘It takes a village.’” @abbyenormal_ remarked, “A 24-hour kitty diaper service? That is the best thing ever.”
