People have no idea about the struggles homeless people go through. Apart from not having a home, they often don’t have basic resources for themselves and their families. Unable to afford clean water and even food, they have to turn to horrifying alternatives to get by. As well-to-do citizens, there is always something we can contribute like the Little Caesars pizzeria in North Fargo. A woman named Rachel shared that the food outlet came up with a deeply moving note after realizing someone was looking through trash for food. She shared their note on X, and one can’t help but be inspired by the kindness.

The general manager, Michelle, shared that she knew it was hard for many to get by, per Valley News Live. Their store, too, has meals at affordable prices of just a few dollars for the same reasons. However, employees have observed that even these small amounts are impossible for some people to make. When they noticed a homeless person eating out of the trash the spare pizza bits and leftovers, they came up with a wholesome solution. To make this solution available and efficient, they put up a note on their gate and shared it around. The note was addressed “to the person going through their trash for the next meal,” and continued to share a quick yet touching message to bring a life-changing hope

The note read, “You’re a human being and worth more than a meal from the dumpster.” The outlet also extended a helping hand by offering “hot slices of pizza and a cup of water,” during operating hours for anyone who didn't have money or means to eat food. The meal would be free of cost with “no questions asked.” Michelle exclaimed that there was no need to be embarrassed and awkward or ask for handouts when they were hungry. The store would always be open for them. Additionally, the local outlet also requests customers to spare change for these offerings so they can feed as many hungry people as possible.

Things didn’t end there, the owners of the local store - Jenny and Mike - decided to add to the gesture as they went forward, per TODAY. They were keen to have pizza donations and even offered the whole pizza to hungry people, despite the note mentioning just a few slices. This gesture grew to provide pizzas for homeless shelters. Jenny recalled her husband saying, "We have more than we need and these people are struggling to find their next meal, so why not help?" The store also helped out by having a “Pizza Night” for a few homeless men. "I’ve been told that’s their favorite night. To have this little night, once a week, pizza night and movie night, may sound like a silly thing, but it's making a continual difference in these people’s lives,” Jenny noted.

The restaurant served over 142,498 slices in just a year and they’re still going strong. The note shared on the internet, touched the hearts of many, pushing them to applaud the outlet and share encouragement. @_whatevva_ wrote, “This made my heart happy... and a tear to my eye... It gives me hope for our future and the future of humanity.” @pdw_67 exclaimed, “Very cool! Good work Little Caesars!”
