A person might find it hard to hear about the suffering of any living being. So when people on the internet got to know about a dog who had slept outside for 12 years of her life, they were heartbroken. However, the dog's new foster parent had brought about a huge change in her life and her nighttime routine. The change made the people thankful for what the dog finally had with her foster parent. The foster dog mom, Danielle Vitti, who goes by @danielleavitti on TikTok, posted a glimpse of the dog's new life through a video. The brief clip received over 753,800 views.

"My foster dog spent 12 years sleeping outside and not knowing what a toy was...now she spends every night tucking in her lambies one by one," the text overlay of the video read. In the clip, the dog gathered several soft toys on her side of the bed and made a mound before she went ahead and lay there. The caption read, "Spoiling her the way she deserved all along. Tonight, 28 lambies joined us to sleep." Danielle told Newsweek that the dog, Grandmama, also known as Ginny, had been living as a stray in Louisiana before she took the dog in. "Based on her condition, it seems like she spent her entire life outdoors," she explained.

The dog came to the rescue team, "Real Dog Rescue," in a really bad shape, according to Danielle. "She came to the rescue in really rough shape — extremely sick with heartworm disease, underweight and clearly neglected." Ginny was immediately fascinated by the "Lamb Chop" toys after she started living with the woman. "My own dog, Mocha, has been a Lamb Chop collector for years, so we always have plenty around the house. On her second day here, Grandmama gently picked one up and carried it around, then started hoarding them in her crate." Soon enough, the dog started bringing the puppet toys to bed with her and at some point, she had decided that 11 was the "perfect" number.

The woman hoped to give the dog everything she had missed out on during those 12 years of being neglected. "It feels like she's never experienced this kind of softness before, so we've made it our priority to give her everything she's missed: pup cups, short beach walks, cozy naps and lots of gentle snuggles — all mindful of her heart condition." Danielle started working with the dog rescue team at the beginning of the pandemic and had opened her home to over 100 dogs during that period. People were happy to know that Ginny was living in good conditions now, in the comments section of the video.

She still hasn’t really taken to any toys, though. Every toy I buy her, she shows no interest in. I hope one day she learns to love and play with toys! She deserves it." @baileythebeagle19 remarked, "OMG, this is adorable, all the lamb chops! My beagle had every lamb chop for every holiday! Thank you for fostering!" In another video, the woman shared how Ginny was discovering what real love feels like.
