A family might make a lot of difference in a person's life. Whether they are a biological family or a found family. An old woman experienced that kind of love from a found family after her husband died and she was left homeless within a day. The woman had nowhere to go and no children to turn to. Her neighbors didn't even know her family before that day, but decided to step in and offer a heartwarming solution, per CBS News.

The woman, Gean LeVar, lost her husband in January of 2021. They had been married for 58 years at that time and lived in Glendale, Arizona. The police came to LeVar's house and they had to condemn the place because of the living conditions there. LeVar was left homeless and didn't know what to do after that. But then, Carmen Silva stepped in after learning about the woman's situation. "I told her, 'Don't worry, Gean, we're going to fix it,'" Silva recounted. The woman didn't feel that what she was doing was a big deal either. Even though she took in her elderly neighbor despite having a 3-bedroom house and 8 children. "I've always taught my kids to take care of their elders."

Silva's boys gave up their bed and started sleeping on the couch to make room for LeVar. "She looks very happy and I believe it's because she has a whole family now." The old woman could be seen laughing and chatting with the Silvas in one clip shared by the outlet. She was filled with gratitude because of what her neighbors did for her. However, a nonprofit group called "Operation Enduring Gratitude" heard about LeVar's situation. The organization is dedicated to helping Arizona veterans and their families. As LeVar's husband was a Navy veteran, the organization came in to help her and started renovating her house. "We're all joining together to do one thing and that's to make somebody's life whole," a volunteer shared.

The woman could return to her old house after the work was over and decided to share it with the Silvas because she had found a family in them. People in the comments section of the video were amazed by the neighbor's kindness and appreciated what the family did for the old woman. Elsa Ruiz wrote, "It’s amazing that she said this is not going above and beyond. Gosh! I want her perspective and her love for humankind. I’m working on it, but to do that with no hesitation or reward, just pure love for a fellow human being, is something." Maureen Olding commented, "What an amazing woman to take in a fellow human being and neighbour. And to take in someone who was in a desperate situation. God bless you."

Susie Davidson remarked, "I LOVE the Silvas! This story hits you right in the feels and it's not very often you see Norah be affected so profoundly. My best to Miss Gean and the Silva family." Dennis Welch shared, "Surely God’s grace and love for one's neighbor was at work here, unselfishly and not thinking of a reward to express that concern and caring action." Rhonda Hammer-Griffith expressed, "This family is truly a very wonderful, caring, extraordinary, loving, blessing from God! They are teaching their kids to be that same way, which is also extraordinary in these days and times! I will pray for God to keep taking care of all of them!"
