She was already disappointed to see him text multiple women on a dating app, but couldn't ignore one detail in his profile.

A woman's instincts can pick up on warning signs long before the truth becomes clear. A TikTok user named Katelyn, who goes by @katelynnj777, shared a post on June 10, 2026, revealing how a gut feeling helped her find out someone was cheating on her. She decided to check her partner’s phone on a whim and found a dating app she’d never heard of before. On opening it, she saw he had been texting two women. While that was embarrassing enough, what she saw when she clicked on his profile left her baffled.

Katelyn was with her date and decided to check his phone when he was asleep. In search of a dating app, she stumbled upon a platform she’d never heard of before. She admitted she only knew Hinge and Tinder, and was aware there were other apps she might not know about. When she opened the app, she found conversations with other women and was furious. However, one other detail caught her attention. She clicked on his profile and saw that there was a woman’s picture. Only then did she dig deeper and realize the man was on “Her,” a lesbian dating app. “Not only are you texting other girls, but you’re going to pretend to be one too,” she remarked.

The woman noted that she was no longer just embarrassed but also sick to her stomach. This happened a while ago, and Katelyn wasn’t happy to admit that she stayed with him even after learning about his actions. However, the relationship was short-lived, and having learned her lesson, she confidently said, “Me now? Never in a million years.” Commenters did not see the plot twist coming. @sophi3.a said, “I could have never guessed where this would go.” @quoryx1 added, “I don’t get what he was trying to achieve.” @yunixfrosty assured, “That’s his loss; you deserve better.”

When it comes to safety and dating, women are relying on their instincts as one of their strongest guides, and rightly so. In another instance, a woman named Aimee Batuski matched with a man who seemed perfect. After they planned their first meeting, she struggled with her gut feeling for hours. Something about the person seemed off, but she couldn’t point out what it was. She canceled the date at the last minute. However, she remained respectful and sent him a kind text to end things. To her surprise, the match quickly showed his true colors.

He said, “Loser. Won’t get better than this.” Batuski was left shocked, but also a little relieved that she dodged a bullet. She mentioned that his one reply revealed far more than any date ever could. Whether it was an impulsive message or part of his personality, according to the woman, the man she looked forward to would never disrespect someone like that. Safe to say, relying on your instincts before any other evidence is the safest bet.
