She thought her Spotify had been hacked when Spanish songs started playing — moments later, the truth behind it melted her heart
Small gestures can go a long way in lifting someone’s spirits. One woman recently shared how she first feared her Spotify account had been hacked after noticing Spanish musician Bad Bunny's music playing without her permission. She was at work when she opened the app and noticed Spanish songs already streaming. Confused and slightly alarmed, she tried to figure out what was happening. But within minutes, she realized there was a much sweeter explanation behind it. The video, posted on January 6, 2026, by TikTok user Jezabel (@jezacat), showed how a simple music mix-up ended up melting her heart.
In the clip, she explained, “Earlier today I was at work, and I was at my office, and I was really getting in there, really grinding, and I was like, 'I want to play some music.'” She said she had been focused on her tasks and wanted background music to help her get through the day. When she opened Spotify, it showed music was already playing on her account. She wondered if she had connected to another device by mistake or if someone else had somehow accessed it.
Then she noticed the music was streaming through her Alexa at home. "It said I was already playing music, and I was like, 'What? Am I connected to something?' but then I realized it was playing on my Alexa bathroom," she shared. What confused her more was that it said she was playing “Bad Bunny Radio,” which she had not selected herself. “I was like, 'What is going on?’” she said, recalling her genuine confusion in that moment.
That was when it clicked, and everything suddenly made sense to her. She remembered that her cleaning ladies were scheduled to be at her apartment that day, something she had completely forgotten while rushing to work. She pictured them chatting as they tidied up and casually asking, “Hey Alexa, play Bad Bunny radio on Spotify,” to make the cleaning more fun. Instead of turning the music off on her phone, she decided to let it play and not interrupt their vibe.
She joked that she would just continue working in silence at her office and let them enjoy the playlist. “Have at it, ladies. Have a good time,” she said warmly, before adding with a chuckle, “What’s mine is yours.” She expressed how the whole incident felt really sweet to her and melted her heart when she realized how comfortable they were at her house. "I just thought that was so cute."
Many internet users also agreed with her and left their opinions in the comment section. @gigi.alr mentioned, "As a former child who went to clean houses with my mom, that is such an amazing thing to hear. They felt comfortable playing music on your Alexa." @marshablare remarked, "I literally make myself uncomfortable and stay out of my cleaner's way just to make sure my cleaner is comfortable. She’s part of the family." While @heathxaa0w7 expressed, "This made me all sorts of happy! Adorable."
