Single dad noticed daughter was 'stressed about classes' so he hid a note in her textbook — it left her speechless

Many parents might understand that their child is feeling low even when they don't explicitly share anything about their troubles. In such a case, they would want to go that extra mile to make their kid feel better. A dad did something similar for his daughter who was lately feeling stressed because of her classes. The girl, u/paiigelisa, shared a heartwarming note her dad left in her textbook on Reddit and the internet absolutely loved what the man wrote.

"Been really stressed with my classes lately. Found this in my textbook. I am lucky to have such an amazing father," the girl expressed. She also shared a picture of the note from her father that read, "Hey Kiddo, Just a casual reminder that I am proud of you." The dad also wanted to remind the girl that the difficulties and challenges faced in the present are "merely victories waiting to be won." "The most important person you need on your side is you." He encouraged his daughter to become her own biggest "fan."

He's an amazing father; he's been through so much to get to where he is today and I'm lucky to have him." She also shared another crucial detail about her dad's major struggles- being a single dad- through another comment: "My mom passed away a few years ago, it's just him." Many people took to the comments section of the thread to appreciate the bond between the dad and the daughter, as well as to express how the man's words helped them too. The daughter was glad that many people could find comfort through her dad's words.

Totally saving this idea for when I have kids someday! Hope your classes get less stressful soon - you've got this! And remember, your amazing dad is in your corner!" u/basil421 commented, "I honestly kinda needed to hear this myself right now… Your dad is really sweet." u/woodspoonwarrior remarked, "I am proud of HIM, hahaha. This warms my heart, your father is a good man. Spend as much time as you can with him and absorb that kind of mindset. It is one of the most valuable things you will have in your lifetime. Good luck with class, you’ve got this!"

u/kindofabusybee shared, "'The most important person you need on your side is you.' That just made me want to love and nurture myself even more. Life can be so good." u/Outside-Wolf627 expressed, "AMAZING Dad. AMAZING Dad. AMAZING Dad. And very wise. What he wrote is true and great advice. I feel the most important message from your Dad is that we all face challenges and adversities in life. It is clear that he knows that it is essential in your development as a young man to be your own Champion. The most important part though, he shows he understands...and that HE IS THERE FOR YOU. You may be swinging on the trapeze preparing to make the transition...but he is clearly there, acting as your safety net, should you falter."
