Hard work and perseverance always pave the way in a mind-blowing manner. There is always much potential to unlock when someone gives their best to fulfil a dream. 13-year-old William, despite having ADHD and other conditions, gave his best to do whatever he could to help his struggling family’s financial situation. His mom, Krystal June Preston, shared a post on Facebook that has since been deleted, revealing the tearjerking unexpected gift her teenage boy earned for her, per Love What Matters. When the mom thought there was no more hope or possibility left, her son came through in the most inspiring way.

The mom set up a GoFundMe, revealing that her family was struggling financially. She also shared the story of her son. “He was born with a severe case of bilateral clubfoot,” Preston said. She explained that due to the same, the boy had been dealing with surgeries, casts and other inconveniences from the time he was a few weeks old. William even had ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). However, she also mindfully highlighted that “he never once couldn't do something he set his mind to.” It is this thoughtful nature that helped him earn his mother a car.

Recalling the life-changing moment, the mom shared, “William came home and said, ‘Mom, I bought you a car.’” Preston assumed he was joking but when he insisted she come with him, a flood of emotions ran through her heart. The mom was surprised to see a woman who was standing in their yard, waiting to drive the duo. The mom was “frozen and confused” until the woman pulled up to a place and her son excitedly said, “Mom that’s your car.” Sharing how the boy dedicatedly managed to get the gift, he said, “I saw on YouTube where people get their mom a car and then surprise her with it. I wanted to do that," per ABC8.

William had a never-give-up attitude and engaged in simple tasks to help his family. Right from lemonade stands, dog poop cleaning, yard work, mowing lawns and using weed eaters, no job was too small for the boy. He loved being of assistance and putting a smile on people’s faces. Scrolling Facebook, the boy came across a woman selling a 1999 white Chevrolet Metro. “It was really cheap so I asked her if I could trade it or earn it. At first, she said no but after she thought about it, she said yes," William recalled. He negotiated with her and got a few tasks done for the woman in return for the car.

“I completely lost it. I started bawling my eyes out. I’m speechless, my 13-year-old son bought me a car,” Preston exclaimed. The mom added that she was “in complete shock” after her son’s act of kindness. “He had a job today that he had to go do and so I allowed him to go assuming it was like any other time. Well, as it turns out, this time was different. Very different,” she remarked. The mom appreciates her car and is beyond grateful for her son’s life-changing help and love. William, on the other hand, is delighted. “I just wanted to do it, that's all,” he said of his generous act. He is more than honored to help people with their tasks and make them happy. The GoFundMe had raised over $13,000 for William and his family and is still accepting donations.
