Being a pet parent can get tricky when you are trying to take care of your fur babies, juggling work and studies, all at the same time. But pet parents would never leave their sweet companions behind, no matter what the case is. A university student found herself in a tricky situation when she had to figure out what to do with her dog while attending an important class one day. So she decided to email her professor. Jessica Lewis, who goes by @jesssssslewis on X, is a student at Georgia Southern University who shared a couple of screenshots from an email to her professor, Joshua Kennedy.

Lewis had a special request before she could attend his class. However, Kennedy's response to his student's email made the whole exchange worth remembering. "Dr. Kennedy," Lewis wrote in her email. "My name is Jessica Lewis and I am in your TR Intro to Political Science class at 3:30 pm. I realize that the answer to this is probably no but I thought that you might actually be a cool enough professor to say yes and so, I figured it was worth a shot." Then Lewis asked if she could bring her dog to the class that day. Lewis had a specific reason behind making that special request.

Kennedy's class was the last one she was attending for that day and there was an incoming storm, about to hit the region where her university was situated. "I have to leave as soon as your class gets out to try to get home to Atlanta as soon as possible. Trying my hardest to beat this storm traffic but your is important to me so I don't want to skip it. It would prevent me from having to go back to my apartment to get her before I could get on the road. I promise she will be good and only the teeniest bit disruptive. I have attached several pictures of her below to help convince you of her cuteness," Lewis concluded in the mail.

Lewis attached some sweet pictures of her dog looking all obedient. Then, she received the much-awaited reply from her professor. "Did you think calling me cool would get me to say yes?" Kennedy emailed Lewis back, throwing in a hint of humor. "Because it won't work. What will work is that she is obviously a good girl so of course you can bring her." Later on, Lewis made a wholesome update to her post and revealed a bunch of pictures of her dog attending the class with her.

The adorable pooch was seen sitting down and behaving well, surrounded by Lewis' classmates and even going around to get pets and cuddles from them. True to Lewis' word, her dog didn't seem to disrupt the class. Some commentators on Lewis' post expressed their joy to see her dog attending class with her. @akwi12 wrote, "I love this; it totally brightened my day! Luna looks like a great girl, and what a wonderful professor!" @joannahday exclaimed, "I love this!"
