While playing ‘Guess the Word,’ a dad asked his toddler for an example of ‘enormous’ — her two-word answer made him regret asking

The dad gave examples like an elephant and a house, but his daughter's hilarious response left him stunned.

Kids and brutal honesty go hand in hand. In an attempt to teach his daughter a new word, a dad, Austin Miles Geter (@austingeter), found himself in a hilarious situation. Austin taught his toddler the meaning of the word "enormous" and asked her to cite an example where he could use the word to describe it. However, his toddler's two-word example stumped him. The hilarious video of the dad-daughter duo playing the "Guess the Word" game left the internet in stitches after it was posted on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

Austin Geter decided to play the "Guess the Word" game with his toddler. He told his daughter that the word of the day was "enormous." He explained that the word was associated with something that was "really big." Giving examples, the dad described an elephant and a house as enormous to help his daughter better understand the word. When it was her turn to pick an example that suited the word, she did not hesitate to tell the most hilarious reply that floored him. The young girl stated, "Daddy's belly," as Austin was seen squirming in embarrassment at her answer. The funniest part of the video was how she repeated her answer with a growly sound effect. The dad then replied, "I heard you the first time, thank you. I don't think I want to do 'Word of the Day' ever again," as his daughter acted surprised. When her dad asked, "Are you so shocked?" her cheeky response, "Yeah," made her dad walk away smiling.

Surprisingly, this wasn't the first time Austin was trolled by his daughter for his belly. In an earlier instance, when Austin took his kids out to draw with chalk and proudly watched his daughter sketch him, he expected something sweet, but he saw her scoot backward to draw his "big belly." Austin joked afterward that they "stopped drawing with chalk after this day." A 2022 study published in Science Daily found that children who were brutally honest about their opinions were judged more harshly by adults than their peers who were polite. "Most parents will have been embarrassed or upset by their children's brutal honesty at some point. Learning to tell lies is a normal part of children's social development," the study noted. However, in Austin's case, he did not encourage his daughter to lie or sugarcoat her opinion. Instead, he laughed it off.

Soon after his video went viral, many users couldn't stop themselves from reacting to it. @1tlilly mentioned, "When she said the second 'daddy’s belly' in that animated voice, I thought I was gonna need CPR from laughing so much!" @iatehagelsbagel remarked, "When you said enormous, I knew it’s coming." @pluto_boy_d joked, "She's a very fast learner and also gives good examples."
