Ever heard of "Bloody Mary walls"? Well, when a woman noticed a red liquid bleeding from her cabinet, she was puzzled to find what exactly the liquid was and how it had been leaking from the walls. After days of updating her Instagram followers, Lexy (@lexyraye) finally got the answer to the question, thanks to strangers on the internet.

Lexy, who goes by her Instagram handle @lexyraye, shared a video on her account about a bizarre situation she had been facing. In the first clip, Lexy asks her followers about the reason why there was a sudden bleeding from her walls; a rather red liquid was leaking out from her cabinet walls. "I have lived in this house for 20 years. And suddenly, last night, my cabinets started to bleed," Lexy explained. She shared that the leak was not coming from the cabinet, but rather from behind the walls where the cabinet is situated. "This is straight out of a horror movie; it's not coming from the cabinets. What in the s*** is inside these cabinets that is making my walls bleed? Am I being possessed?" Lexy quipped.

After the first clip, one of the followers suggested she do a smell test to find what the liquid was. In the video, Lexy describes the liquid as having an "oily texture, with a slight hint of vinegar's smell." "It doesn't smell like anything; if anything, it smells a little bit like vinegar," Lexy revealed. In another one of the series of clips, the creator decides to light candles to summon "Bloody Mary." In a light-hearted gesture, Lexy "requests" the infamous spirit to leave her house. She jokes, "Bloody Mary, I would like to apologize for whatever I may have done, but I may have to ask you to leave this house because you’re making a mess of my bathroom. And there's got to be a 10-year-old slumber party that is happening somewhere that is more impressive than my bathroom. If you don't leave, help me God, I will send your oil and sage your a** all the way to hell."

In the next clip, Lexy, along with her parents, removes the cabinet to inspect the issue. While they still couldn't figure out the reason behind the bleeding, Lexy confirmed with a bee expert that it was not due to bees as suspected by some of the online users. She also inspected her attic in a clip, which also did not help in figuring out the issue. It was not until she took a closer look at the cabinet that she realized the liquid was coming from the rusted metal sheets between the cabinet. A follower messaged her that read, "Condensation around the base of the cold metal cabinet pools onto the rusted screw then perpetuates itself from there, slowly radiating outwards as heat dispersion moves the micro water droplets away, causing an almost osmosis effect?"

Soon after the video went viral, many online users who were invested in the mystery behind the "bleeding wall" expressed their thoughts. @ljslola wrote, "Thanks for keeping us updated, that was a good mystery!!"
