Woman Googled her ex after two years and found his wedding website — one detail exposed a secret hidden from his wife
If you’ve ever broken up with someone, there must have been times when you missed them or wanted to see how they’re doing. And it’s during these quests that some of the most disappointing realities surface. A TikTok user who goes by @missnicolascage decided to Google her long-distance ex after he abruptly ended things with her nearly two years ago. Sharing the story on May 31, 2026, she noted that she came across a wedding website in the search results. When she clicked on it to see who his new partner was, she instead discovered a truth from the time they were dating.

The woman explained that her former partner was not very outgoing, had two friends, and didn’t even have social media. There was no way for her to know how he had been doing over the years. That random day, she Googled him and stumbled upon a wedding website. It was the only update she saw. Since he was getting married, she became curious and wanted to look through every detail. Eventually, she spotted the bride and read the story of how they met. That’s when one detail stopped her cold. The site mentioned that the couple had met three years earlier. “Me and this man only stopped talking in what will be two years in September,” she remarked. Her ex had been cheating on her while they were together.
The truth felt outrageous because the man was not very social. Moreover, the reason he gave for breaking up with her was that his parents were getting a divorce, and things were hard on him. So it made no sense to her that he was two-timing while going through such a difficult period. To make the situation worse, after she responded respectfully and ended the conversation with a nice message, she was blocked without a reply. Long-distance relationships are challenging, and she explained that they lived so far apart that they needed to take flights to see each other. It made regular meetings difficult, and there was no other way to catch up. However, his disloyalty had no excuse.
Sexual Alpha surveyed 7,392 Americans to learn about LDRs (long-distance relationships). 22% reported cheating while they were in one. Distance and the frequency of meeting also appeared to play a role. Couples who met every four to six months were less certain they would not cheat (46%) compared with those who met once a month (68%). 32% said LDRs are challenging and that they wouldn’t want to get into one again.
The woman was shocked and disappointed, but brushed it off, saying, “Congratulations,” adding that she would still send a gift. Commenters were heartbroken for her but also insisted that she had a lucky escape. @omegawraith wrote, “The game changes from ‘The one that got away,’ to the one celebrating dodging a bullet.” @toobootsylicious added, “Unfortunately, this is not an original experience. I found out my ex cheated the same way.” @orangevegetable3 insisted, “Girl, that was your intuition.”
