Woman notices a heart-wrenching sight while looking up her old house on Google Maps
Nostalgia is a profoundly invaluable concept. It has the power to bring back gushing emotions and memories through the simplest things. A woman named Jen (@j3nb33), too, came across an overwhelming dose of nostalgia when she found old pictures of her house on Google Maps. The woman shared a post explaining that she was browsing and came across a picture of her old house on Google Maps. However, it was not the house but something inside it that moved her to tears.
In one tiny window in one corner of the house in the picture, the woman found a glimpse of her puppy who had sadly passed away. Though blurry and very tiny, Jen was able to tell that it was her dog who was peeking out the window at the time. The woman was thrilled to see her paw pal again and was overwhelmed at the sight of the furry thing. Jen mentioned that the puppy was a rescue dog and was the first pet she’d ever had, per Newsweek. "He passed away a while ago, so it was quite surreal to see him in the window of our old house,” she added.
Just that blurry glimpse was enough to bring back nostalgic memories of her with her pet. Jen recalled that the dog was a Staffordshire bull terrier cross dog Argentino and that he had a tough life before being welcomed to Jen’s home. Just like that, she found herself reminiscing about how she took him in and all the things she’d enjoyed with her puppy Ice. "I don't have any information on his previous owners or how he was kept, but I just know they didn't want him so we took him in,” she remarked.
She noted how the dog loved tummy rubs and laying in the sun and specifically remembered a peculiar scenario. "We used to have to put sunscreen on his ears so they didn't burn, with him being white and having short, fine hair," she explained. She also chuckled at a bittersweet memory and shared how he “hated” her singing.
