Woman overheard her Lyft driver calling her hair and skin ‘ugly’ in Spanish — one question before she got out left him speechless
People may not realize how rude it can be to make unsolicited comments about someone else's appearance. One such incident happened with TikTok user Keke, who shared her experience under the handle @paymeinoreos on September 1, 2026. She revealed that the Lyft driver commented negatively on her appearance during her ride, assuming she wouldn't understand because he was speaking Spanish on the call. He even called Keke "ugly" and then initiated a casual conversation with her. However, before leaving the ride, Keke did something that left him red-faced.
Keke recounted how she booked a Lyft for a six-minute ride to her home. While she was relaxing in the backseat, the driver was on a phone call. Keke noticed he kept pausing for a few seconds in the middle of his conversation in Spanish. She disclosed that he informed the caller that he had a passenger, and after 10 seconds, he told the caller that Keke's hair and skin were "ugly." Although she heard this remark, she chose to remain silent. Just two minutes away from her home, Keke asked him in Spanish, "What city?" and he was stunned to learn that she speaks the language.
Before confronting him, Keke shared that the driver engaged her in conversation shortly before dropping her off at her destination. He chatted with her about the weather. He shared that he was from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The driver even asked Keke if she had an Instagram account, but she denied it. He then tried to get her phone number, to which she replied, "I'm married." He followed up in Spanish, asking if her husband didn’t allow her to have friends, to which she replied no.
Despite her answer, he continued asking about her favorite foods and even suggested going out for dinner and drinks. Keke expressed her disbelief as the driver persisted in talking to her, despite knowing she was married. Before exiting the cab, Keke finally confronted him and said in Spanish, "I heard your phone call." She then told him, "Go f**k yourself," leaving the driver with a shocked expression as his face turned "beet red." She then explained in her video how annoyed she felt about his attempts to flirt with her right after calling her ugly.
