Woman stepped out with her newborn for a quick store run — on the way back, she realized she’d left someone important behind

A new baby can be a really big change in a person's life. So there could be confusion and mistakes that one might not usually experience. One new mom would agree to that after she went to the store with her dog and her newborn baby. The woman, Melanie, was pushing her baby's stroller and had her dog on a leash while going to the place. But on her way back home, she realized someone was missing and immediately turned back, according to a video shared on her TikTok page, @mellax24. The video received over 376,600 views.

In the clip, the woman was pushing her baby's stroller and was on her way back to the shop. She revealed that she had come back because she forgot her dog after tying her outside the store. She quickly rushed to the spot where her dog, Anna, was tied up. Melanie kept apologizing to Anna after that. "Oh my god, Anna. I am so sorry," she expressed as she patted Anna's head. The video's caption read, "Forgot I took my dog to the shop. Oops, sorry, Anna." Melanie told Newsweek, "I took Anna for a walk and passed by a shop, which reminded me that I needed to pick up some milk. She was walking alongside the stroller without a leash. I only tied her up because she was blocking the entrance for customers."

Melanie quickly picked up bananas and milk after she had tied Anna close to a security camera for safety. But when she went home, she forgot to release Anna from the spot and take her home. The woman had come all the way back home from the Tesco supermarket when she realized that Anna was not with her anymore. "Just as I was about to open my front door, I suddenly remembered that the dog was still at the shop." Melanie was really sorry for leaving Anna behind, but was glad that she was still there at the spot. "I caught sight of her there before I started recording, as I was close enough to see her. I was obviously grateful she was still there."

She had an important reason behind sharing the video with the platform, per the outlet. "I just wanted to show people that in real life, mistakes happen and many others have probably done this too." People shared their thoughts on the incident in the comments section of the video. @alistardust_cosplay wrote, "My mum lived in the Hebrides in the 70s and came home with the dog, but left my baby sister outside the shop in the pram." @palomadc980 commented, "An older lady I once worked for left her dog on the tube! 3 hours later, Basil was still tied to a pole, doing loops on the Circle line."

In one video, she was dancing with her baby and both of them seemed to be enjoying themselves.
