Woman was ambushed by 2 masked attackers after leaving bank — then her dog did the unthinkable
You never know the benefits of having pets till you experience them yourself and when you do, it is baffling. A woman named Noemi Moreno was on her way back to her mother-in-law’s home from the bank when she was attacked, per KENS 5 News. Right at her gate, the woman was struggling with the men as they grabbed her purse. With no idea what they had come for or what they had in mind, the woman tried her best to fight them off, but in vain. They were too strong and just then, her pet dog Rambo came running over and rescued Moreno. His simple but brave action is being lauded on the internet.
According to the Zebra, around 1 million burglaries take place in the United States every year. Out of these, half are home invasions, where attackers try to forcefully enter homes or encounter homeowners. Homes without security systems bear the worst brunt of these invasions. Moreno recalled having gone to the bank to cash a few checks. She was on her way to her mother-in-law’s home after that to pick up her kids. The camera outside the house captured the attack. A red SUV pulled up seconds after Moreno, and out came two masked men, dressed in black, rushing towards the woman.
Moreno, who had just stepped foot into the gate, was baffled to see the men but had no time to respond. She believed they had followed her from the bank and planned the attack. Within seconds, they grabbed her bag and began jostling her to get hold of it. “They started pulling my purse and they pulled me so hard I fell to the ground,” she said. As the trio were struggling, out came the hero — Rambo. He rushed towards the attackers without a second thought and fiercely barked at them. Not fearing for his life, he courageously tried to protect Moreno and put himself in front of the attackers.
He was ready to do whatever it took to save the woman and it was evident with his strong and astute response. Fortunately, his loud barks were enough for the attackers to get terrified and run away. The family was immediately alerted and rushed out to help and also contacted 911. Luckily for Moreno, she was safe and unharmed, thanks to the dog’s timely intervention. “Rambo, he’s a pit bull. He saved me. Thank God for him,” Moreno said. The case is under investigation but the woman is extremely grateful for her dog. She is also still a little worried about her safety after the incident.
“I’m terrified. I’m always looking around now and making sure nobody’s following me. I’m kind of leery of going places by myself now. I want them to get arrested because I’m afraid they’re going to do that to somebody else,” she remarked. People are praising Rambo for living up to his name and truly giving the attackers a tough fight. @mrsgarcis4391 said, “Everyone’s a gangsta until the dog shows up.” @nickywilks928 added, “Wow, lady, you stood your groun,d and Rambo is an absolute diamond.”
