When she tried to explain that she was receiving enough support from her husband, the older woman made things worse. Mother of a toddler, Angi, was shopping at Kohl's when a boomer approached her and commented that she looked too young to be a mother. Angi, who got defensive about the statement, immediately shut her down by saying that she is fully capable of supporting her child and that she does not wish to be judged by a "random woman" at a store making such remarks. She also added that her husband had recently gotten her a Cradlewise Smart crib, implying that she was receiving enough support from her baby's father as well. However, to her shock, the woman replied, "Good for you. I'm glad that you have a nice husband that can buy you a fancy crib like that."
Angi, who felt uncomfortable about the conversation, left the place immediately. Sharing the unpleasant experience online, the mother wrote, "This was insane, like leave new moms alone please." People often judge new moms, whether for how they parent their children or even for their lifestyle. However, what they fail to understand is the hardships new mothers go through. Despite telling the woman that she was receiving support from her husband, she was still being judged unnecessarily, which speaks volumes about people not minding their own business.
