A TikTok user named Dani Coco, who goes by @dani.coco1, shared how she was delighted to witness such an encounter with a man at the gym. In her clip shared on April 23, 2026, she mentioned that a stranger stopped her to start a conversation. He opened with a question and followed up with one statement that left her impressed. Luckily for him, it actually worked.
After finishing a set, Dani grabbed her stuff and was ready to move when the man made his way toward her. After saying hello and making sure she was okay with having a conversation, he asked, “Have we met before?” Since she had never seen him before, she replied, “No.” The stranger immediately followed up with, “We should change that.” She was instantly stunned by how smoothly he slipped a pick-up line into what seemed like a simple interaction. The duo continued speaking for a while, and she even gave him her number. Eventually, they planned to meet, but what stayed in her mind was the line.
“That's a good line, I’m going to steal it,” the woman said, before adding that she was sharing it with the internet so others could use it too. Dani mentioned that she personally loved men who used unique ways to start a conversation or approach someone they liked. Flirting and banter, when respectful, can lead to something wholesome. However, not all encounters end well, and that’s why vigilance and caution are necessary when speaking with strangers. In another incident, a woman named Reese was approached by a man while she was at the gym. He opened by complimenting her form and posture. But things quickly took a horrifying turn.
According to Reese, the man seemed to be in his late 30s. After praising her, he soon began asking for personal information. Reese was not too comfortable with where the conversation was heading and informed him that she was already in a relationship and didn’t want to disclose any more details. Despite her response, he continued the conversation. At one point, he asked her how old she was, claiming that she looked really young, almost like she was in high school.
“When a grown adult says someone looks like they could be in high school while simultaneously trying to pursue them, it becomes deeply uncomfortable,” she noted. This raised immediate red flags, prompting the woman to share with the internet that it is not okay to make such remarks to women. “Attraction to minors isn’t something that should be normalized, joked about, or disguised as a compliment,” she pointed out. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to approach someone you like, but it is crucial to be respectful and adhere to boundaries.
