In a difficult moment, a person might just need a little bit of kindness to feel better. An 85-year-old woman felt the same when she asked for a small favor and received loads of kindness in return. The woman had lost her husband and had been living on social security. She really needed firewood and was out of money. So she called a tree removal company and asked if they had any firewood. The old woman also revealed that she couldn't pay for the same. So the owner, Paul Brittain, who goes by @Paul_teambts on TikTok, decided to do something good for the woman. The clip received over 1.4 million views.

Paul explained that they had gotten a call from the woman, who was out of firewood. She was "down on her luck" and had lost her husband. The 85-year-old had explained that she couldn't pay for the firewood yet, as she hadn't received her social security. "She told us that she could pay us next week. Little does she know that we are not going to charge her," Paul revealed. The man shared that they had been having some slow months, but he still hoped to help the woman as he was in a position to do so. He reached the woman's house and knocked on the door.

The woman, Abernathy, opened the door and the man checked on her. Paul revealed that he was going to give her the firewood for free and was not going to come back for the money later either. The moment the man said it, the old woman broke down in tears. He expressed that he wanted to do something nice for her as a Christmas present. The caption read, "Helping a widow today! She was so happy to receive this gift!" In another video, the man shared that he planned to get the woman's house cleaned up and get her heat and A/C fixed. The man also got the house's gutters cleaned and the roof fixed. He also got the woman's car repaired free of charge.

Paul even ended up setting up a GoFundMe page for the woman after people on the internet requested him to do so. "I have been blown away by all the responses, so I have created this for y'all to give how you want to her." He added, "We have got her new tires, stacked plenty of firewood, cleaned out her gutters, along with her yard! Thank you all for your willing hearts! We can make a difference together!" The page had managed to raise $21,483 out of its $22,000 goal. People praised the man for his kindness in the comments section of the video.

This sweet lady has probably helped and fed many in her days. It's probably been so long since she had a good meal she didn’t have to make herself. This breaks my heart as I work with seniors every day." @christinamdden43 commented, "People take note - this is what we should be all about - helping our neighbors. You might be the only light they may see in a dark part of their life or during a financial hardship. God Bless you!"
