Dad happily walked bride down the aisle—24 hours later, sent her a text message that left her in tears

A daughter getting married might be a big moment for the parents as well. So, a day after a dad had lovingly walked his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day, he sent her a heartwarming and simple text that left her in tears. The dad indirectly reassured his daughter that he would be there for her even after her marriage. The emotional bride, Dana, who goes by @imdanajjjj on TikTok, shared her dad's message with the platform. The post received over 5.1 million views.

Dana shared a picture of her dad walking her down the aisle and then shared the text her dad had sent her a day after her wedding. "Remember not to be shy about calling me if you need me to pick you up from the train station or anywhere else," the text read. "First ask your husband and if he can't, ask me. Okay?" Dana told Newsweek, "I opened the message that morning after I got married and it made me tear up." She added, "He would pick me up, as seen in the text, anytime, anywhere, no complaints." In the caption, the woman expressed that her dad is one of her "favorite people." She went on, "He is only a call away from being at my doorstep if I need him."

The dad always made sure that his family "never lacked" anything. "I have never heard him complain about what he has to do every day in his life; he just does what needs to be done," Dana revealed. "That's a true man." The daughter shared that her dad lost his father as a boy and that had made it very important for him to be a good dad. "He is not perfect, but he has led our family to know Christ. I love my papi." The woman felt that she would print and frame the text one day. "It made me realize how much my dad is there for me. It truly made me grateful to have him in my life," Dana explained to Newsweek.
"It's such a kind gesture to your child, to first respect your daughter's husband and his place in my life as the first responder and if he's not able to, he will always be there for me as he always was. I think people find that really special and rare, or see their own fathers in it," the woman remarked about the text. People appreciated the dad and shared their own experiences in the comments section of the post. @aprodaytii wrote, "My dad told my husband on my wedding day, 'If you don't want her anymore, don't hurt her. Just call me, I will pick her up. No explanations, no whys. Just give her back to me.'"

@hunts_wifey commented, "My dad nicknamed me trouble when I was 12 years old. Every day when I left the house, he'd say, 'Be good, trouble.' When we got to the bottom of the aisle, he looked at my now husband and said, 'Be good to my trouble.' I cried. I know it doesn't seem like much, but my dad isn't a sentimental person, so this meant a lot." @escartte remarked, "My dad told me the day before my wedding, 'Your bed, your clothes, your bedroom, everything will be here in case you want to come back.'" In another video, the woman shared that she was going to tell her dad about the love he received on the internet.
@imdanajjjj gonna tell my dad he went viral on TikTok. I wasn’t very emotional towards my parents until I got married & moved out, so I do feel slightly awkward haha. But I’m excited to show him!! #viral #dad ♬ original sound - Dana
