A few parents might have an uncanny ability to make embarrassing or difficult situations easier for their kids. A 6-year-old's dad did the same when she had an "accident" at school. He wanted to make sure that she didn't feel sad or embarrassed because of what had happened. The man's older daughter, Lucinda Ho Ching, posted about his iconic move to ensure that her sister didn't feel embarrassed on X, where she goes by @lucindreams. The internet absolutely loved what the dad, Ben Sowards, did.

"My little sis had an accident today at kindergarten and this is how my dad left to pick her up so she wouldn't feel so sad/embarrassed," the caption to the post read. The man poured water on his pants on the front when he went to pick his daughter up from school, so she wouldn't feel that what happened to her was a big deal. He covered his pants with his daughter's school bag as he posed for one of the photos. The dad, an author and artist from Utah, got a call from his wife that their younger daughter, Valerie, had "an accident" at school and she needed to be picked up, per HuffPost. "Honestly, I knew she was mortified, but I thought if I could make her laugh, everything would be fine," the dad expressed.

So, to lighten the situation for his daughter, the dad came up with the idea to show up with water on his pants. The girl was waiting for her dad in the principal's office when he entered the room and asked the principal if he could have his daughter's book bag to hide something. Valerie was confused until she looked at her dad. "She was totally exasperated. But once she saw my pants, I got that look from her where I knew everything was OK. All dads know what look I’m talking about. And we just strolled out of the school like nothing was happening," Ben explained, pointing out that his trick had worked.

The older daughter, Lucinda, shared that her dad often used humor to make things a little simpler to deal with. She recalled that she had an incident a few years ago when she fell while skating during a school trip and had a "massive" black eye. "I got a massive black eye and he FaceTimed me and had vividly painted a black eye that matched mine on himself." The little girl was doing completely fine after the incident at school. "She’s doing great. She’s learned to laugh about it and thinks what my dad did was hilarious," Lucinda went on. Many people in the comments section of the post appreciated the dad and drew parallels between what he did and what the titular character in the movie "Billy Madison," played by Adam Sandler, did. Madison responded in the same way when a boy he was friends with had an accident and pointed out that it was the "coolest."

@mfc_truth wrote, "That's called being a great father. I did the same thing before." @MyMothersSecret commented, "What a lucky gal to have such a magnificent dad. Blessings to you and your wonderful family." @alanGE0 remarked, "This has Billy Madison written all over it." @LimonYvonne shared, "What a sweet daddy! You are blessed to have the coolest dad."
