Delivery driver casually mentioned his rent during a chat — the customer’s unexpected offer left him speechless
A routine day at work turned into an emotional moment for an Indian delivery boy in Malta, after a German YouTuber and content creator, Bartmann, asked a simple question that made his day. The video of the incident was posted on Thursday, December 18, 2025, on Instagram by @bartmann, showing the conversation between him and the rider. Talking to the delivery boy, Bartmann asked where he was from and where he lived, sparking a casual conversation between them. But what Bartmann did next won everyone's heart online, receiving over a thousand reactions and 396,000 views.
In the video, the creator, while receiving his food order, the rider revealed that he had moved to Malta from India and pays around 180 Euros in monthly rent. Hearing this, the creator asked the rider if he could "make him happy." Then he offered him to pay his monthly rent, saying, "You're bringing food to all the people, and nobody asks you how you are and stuff, you know? That's why I want to make you happy." Hearing this, the rider seemed visibly emotional and surprised. He asked, "Really, sir?" to which the vlogger replied, "Yeah, really. No, I'm not kidding. I want to make you happy. It's your happy day." Overwhelmed by the unexpected generosity, the delivery boy repeatedly thanked the man and said, "I've been here last four years, sir. Nobody was given this much to me, sir."
The internet can't stop loving the video, with many praising the gesture as a reminder of how such small moments can make someone's day better and leave a huge impact. “I watched this video, and I was so overwhelmed with your kindness that it brought me to tears. I love it,” commented @wandala5. @mo_pershia wrote, “When I watched this video, my heart overflowed with love. Thank you, God, for creating kind and generous souls on this earth—people who give from the heart and bring joy to others.”
The video went viral not only across, but also reached India, and a delivery partner shared his thoughts. “I am deaf and work as a [sic] Zomato partner in [sic] India. Thank you for your tip,” penned @300rthy. Praising the creator, @gadijadelport remarked, “You are so amazing...keep doing what you do best, Bart.”
Kindness still exists in the world, especially when hardworking people are met with compassion at the right moment. In another touching story, an elderly Walmart employee in Maryland was helped by strangers. Rory McCarty came across Butch Marion, an 82-year-old Navy veteran who was working at the store simply to survive. Wanting to help him retire and live a peaceful life, McCarty opened a GoFundMe page for the senior man. By December 2023, more than $115,000 had been raised through donations. Marion said he planned to use the funds to visit his children and make much-needed repairs to his home.
