The group had been friendly throughout the meal and had one bill for the table. The woman paying first said she planned to leave a cash tip, but later told Hannah she had already added one on the restaurant's payment screen. When the server checked the receipt, she saw the tip was only two cents. She then approached the customer to ask if the amount was a mistake. The diner immediately apologized and took out a $100 bill. She asked the employee to break it so she could leave the intended gratuity.
