Doctors warned parents their daughter might not survive a devastating bike crash — but one ear specialist’s dream sparked an unexpected breakthrough
When it comes to our loved ones, a miracle, fate, or even the most bizarre happenings are entertained if it means saving their life. A dad named Josh Hall, who goes by @joshandmyra.hall on Facebook, shared one such instance in a post on August 4, 2026. After finding his daughter, Kaitlyn, in an unresponsive state following a bike wreck, doctors had little to no hope for her recovery. Follow-up after follow-up, prayers, and multiple consultations later, Josh and his wife, Myra, were given news they longed to hear. 13 years after the incident, Kaitlyn is thriving, thanks to one ear specialist who turned things around with a dream.
Kaitlyn seemed almost lifeless after the crash. Blood and fluid were leaking out of her ear, and her head seemed to have a “big knot” that looked like a concussion. After rushing her to the ER and getting tests and scans done, the parents were told her skull had cracked from her nose all the way to the back of her head. Doctors said she had permanent brain damage, and they weren’t sure if she’d make it. They prayed earnestly, hoping for a miracle, and specialists said the surgery went well. After two weeks in the ICU and hospital, she was cleared of brain damage. Yet, the girl couldn’t hear anything. That’s when a new specialist revealed, “I had a dream that I could fix your daughter's ear,” and recommended a technique that he believed could work.
He wasn’t sure himself, but encouraged the parents to give it a shot. This required a lot of faith and hope, especially since several previous attempts had failed. After the girl was cleared of brain damage, she couldn’t hear at all. Multiple surgeons and specialists said she’d never be able to hear again. A year after endless consultations, the response was the same. Then came the new specialist, who mentioned something from his “dream” might work. Myra and Josh approved it, and it worked. Over a decade later, Kaitlyn can hear and is healthy.
Kaitlyn still has checkups to ensure the prosthetic bones in her ear are functioning well. For Josh, this was nothing short of a miracle, but after seeing his daughter in that state for months, he doesn’t need any explanation. The family’s faith has only increased following the incident. The dad noted, “If what he (God) done for her was all he had ever done for me, that would have been enough.”
