Taco Bell manager heard a scream coming from drive-thru window and ran outside—her response saved a lifeless baby

Even small acts of assistance during an emergency can significantly influence the outcome. Though they may seem minor at the time, these gestures are always appreciated and encouraged. Richboro Taco Bell manager Becky Arbaugh's heroic act is a great example of it as it managed to save the life of a child after he became "lifeless," per Good Morning America. The woman sprang into action and didn’t hesitate to do whatever was necessary, and because of it, a mom got her son back. Natasha Long drove to Taco Bell and was about to get her order when she heard her 11-week-old son Myles struggling to breathe.

When she got out and checked on him, he wasn't breathing and had turned blue, leaving the mom in a panicked state. “I pulled him out and he turned completely blue and was lifeless, and at that point, I just completely blacked out. I didn't know what to do,” the mom said, per 6 ABC Philadelphia. "I heard a scream and then someone yelled out, 'Call 911, the baby isn’t breathing!'" Arbaugh recalled. As soon as she heard the words, she threw her headset and ran to help. “I told her to give him to me and I performed CPR. I was trying to calm her down and comfort her and reassure her that he will be fine,” the manager said.

Long panicked and had no idea what to do but went with the flow. The footage captured the mom noticing her baby not breathing and panicking. She began moving around frantically with her lifeless baby as Arbaugh came into the picture. The manager assured and urged her to hand him over so she could help and give him CPR. “I knew what she was feeling. There was no thought in my mind that the baby wasn't going to breathe again,” the woman said. Finally, the baby started breathing, and soon, the ambulance and medics arrived to render further assistance. “Scariest moment of my entire life,” Long remarked.

"The EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) said I saved his life," Arbaugh said. Myles was taken to the hospital, where he was further treated until he was well. When asked about how she knew what to do, the manager mentioned that she was a mom, too, and had four kids. She was well-acquainted with emergencies. “My daughter had issues when she was little. I had to do CPR on her a few times,” she revealed. The staff and others lauded Arbaugh for her astute action that saved the baby’s life.
"We are incredibly proud of Becky for her heroic act earlier this week. We are getting in touch to express appreciation for her quick actions and kindness,” a spokesperson for Taco Bell said. The manager was simply glad that Myles was fine. Arbaugh is now friends with Long, who is grateful for the life-saving encounter. "She has sent me pictures and videos of the baby. We are now friends on Facebook," the manager mentioned. “She saved my son’s life,” Long said. Arbaugh added, “I just thought of myself as a mom with another mom who needed help.”
