The holiday season is the best time to bring a smile to someone’s face. Extending kindness through simple gestures and gifts truly makes for a memorable and bright festive season. u/Sensitive_Whole_1833 shared a post on Reddit in gratitude for a DoorDash driver, Richard, who went out of his way to surprise his customer with something heartwarming. Along with the delivery, the customer captured a glimpse of the adorable Christmas present they got out of love. The simple yet thoughtful hamper put together by the driver is a prime example that you don’t need to shell out much to make someone happy. The customer shared a picture of the gift they received along with the order. “My Door Dash driver left me a present,” the caption read.

There was a paper bag with Christmas decorations and a few other tiny yet wholesome items. With simple doodle-like structures, the bag itself was enough to bring a smile. “Special delivery from Santa and Richard,” the bag read. The bag consisted of a colorful lollipop along with a festive box of chocolates. The box was designed as a snowman and was filled with vibrant candy inside. Along with the same was a card for the customer. The items altogether in the picture made for a bright and beaming display, acing the idea of festivity. The card surely added a smile to the customer’s face. It was a small certificate, again skilfully designed for the season.

It read, “This is to certify that Richard’s customer made it into Santa’s Nice List. Thank you for being so sweet and kind.” The certificate also carried a "signature" from Santa Clause, a mini print of the cutest Santa and a “100% approved Nice” sticker. Calls for the widest smile. In a comment, the customer revealed that this was not a corporate tactic or gesture but came straight from the thoughtfulness of the driver. The customer added that they reached out to the driver to extend their thanks. They wrote, “Richard did it himself. I had to message him and let him know he made my day and probably many many others. Also, not a single thing like asking for a tip. Just genuine kindness.”

It's not every day that you’re reminded about the goodness that exists in this world, much less that you deserve to be happy and smile. Richard did it all with his sweet gesture. People were glad to see the holiday spirit ring in with such a kind and selfless act. u/Ok-guyInvestigator6303 said, “So did Richard do this himself? It's not like a corporate thing that DoorDash is doing? This Richard guy is going places for sure.” u/earbud_smegma wrote, “That's super cute and unexpected! Richard is on the nice list.” Others were still proud of Richard and hoped to encounter more people of the like. u/Ok-Investigator6303 remarked, “Aw, you should post it on social media and tag DoorDash to get him some recognition with his bosses. This is the kind of initiative I'd hope they'd appreciate. Man, this is just so lovely.”
