Woman comes home to surprise gift from cutest buddy she had been kindly helping

Gratitude is one of the purest and most basic virtues anyone can practice. No matter the age, gender, or relationship with another, there is always space to exercise gratitude in some form. Not just people, but even animals can practice the same and it reveals the heartwarming love they carry in their hearts. A man named Ethan (@ethbn) shared a clip of how a squirrel expressed its gratefulness to a generous woman. The video mentioned that the woman would always help the squirrel, who wasn’t her pet and presumably just lived around the area. The clip was from a door camera that captured the wholesome scenario outside of her home. 

The woman walked to her doorstep after doing her chores and was just about to open her door when she spotted something unusual. By her windowsill, next to her door, a cookie was placed. The cookie wasn’t bitten but wasn’t wrapped either. It was just as if it had been picked off a tray and placed there. The woman was curious to figure out where it had come from. However, even though she didn’t know who had brought the same, her face lit up with the sweetest smile. The rest of the footage revealed how the cookie got there. It was a wholesome gift left there by someone special — a squirrel. 

In the footage, the creature can be seen making much effort to hold the cookie in its mouth and climb all the way through, pass the steps and find a spot for the cookie. When it found a windowsill by the door, it carefully placed the cookie on it. The creature then jumped back down and went away. The squirrel surely had something in mind and it couldn’t be anything short of gratitude as it intentionally placed it at the corner of the windowsill right beside the door for the woman to notice. 

As the video garnered the internet's attention, people were left amazed at the thoughtfulness of the animal. Several people commented in awe at the duo and the power of gratitude and kindness. @grungrbiotrash23 wrote, “That squirrel will be her best friend now.” @mystery1man observed, “The squirrel looked at it so proud of the placement.” @duckmomo2 added, “I wonder if the squirrel saw a human eat a cookie and wondered if that’s what she’d eat too or just found a cookie.” @badchurrito wrote, “That squirrel will never go hungry again.” @anetamonica01 recalled, “Someone from my dad’s family used to feed a squirrel every day and when she died, it brought a flower for her as a thank you.” @tomseidel8 added, “I would be inconsolable seeing that squirrel on camera.”
