One of the toughest realities about parenting is that you have to fend for yourself and your kid. No matter how you feel, you have to show up for them along with yourself. One can’t do this alone and needs support from partners, family members and others. A single mom, Samantha Holman(@samanthabrookex), revealed that she had been having a particularly exhausting period and even the most basic seemed tough to her. When she couldn’t bring herself to get out of the house and drop her daughter Aniyah to school, someone wholeheartedly stepped in.

The woman revealed that she had been battling mental health issues and was finding it hard to do even the simplest tasks, per Newsweek. Holman added that she felt awkward about sharing these things with others and always kept it a “closed book.” However, when she was struggling more than she could bear, it was becoming a challenge for her to parent her daughter. She was unable to leave the house even to take Aniyah to school. That’s when her father showed his immense support. As Aniyah’s loving grandparent, he took the opportunity of dropping her to school every day in the most wholesome way.

The single mom revealed footage of the old man with his granddaughter ready and out of the house on their way to school. The duo are seen skipping together happily on their way. Holman’s father thoughtfully took up the role of being responsible for the girl while the mom tried to feel better. She noted that she is beyond grateful for her parents. "I am extremely close with my dad, he's honestly a superhero," Holman added. She said that her daughter’s bond with her father makes it more helpful. "My daughter adores him, he's 6’5’ but calls himself Peter Pan because he doesn't grow up,” she joked. “That just sums him up as a person,” Holman noted.

Acknowledging how challenging it can be to raise children as a single parent, the mom was thankful to have people come to her aid at such a time. "Raising a child as a single mom who suffers from mental health issues would be near impossible if I didn't have my parents and a close network of friends all chipping in to support me," she remarked. Several people shared messages of encouragement for the mom to feel better. Others were all praise for the grandpa for his understanding and fatherly stature, along with his lively energy that fills in while the mom is exhausted. His little effort makes all the difference.

She wrote, “My friend did this for almost a year with my daughter. She even brought her back home. She saved me and my daughter.” @thelittlefamilyxx remarked, “They’re so precious and they don’t even realize. I hope you feel better soon.” @sjaybe added, “What a beautiful family you have.
