For 30 years, they lived in the same city and sent their sons to the same school—but had no idea they were long-lost sisters

Some meetings are bound to happen, no matter how long they take. Two sisters had been separated as kids and didn't get to learn about each other. They had no idea that their first meeting would take place in such an extraordinary way. The duo had almost crossed paths several times before their meeting. However, as they didn't know about the other person, they could not get to know each other. Eventually, 51 years later, Michele Dugan and Trish Morgan could meet and form a bond, per Good News Network.

Dugan and Morgan got to know each other because of a DNA test Dugan decided to take to know about her ancestry. The sisters share a father and have different mothers. They got to meet each other after 51 years of being apart, per the outlet. Dugan had been sent to foster care as a child before being adopted, so she enlisted the help of Ancestry.com. Morgan had stayed with her birth mother and their father. Surprisingly, Dugan had lived in the same town as her sister for 30 years. Their children had graduated from the same high school and at the same time as well. She learned about all of these coincidences after she met Morgan for a coffee. The woman had reached out to Dugan after she took the DNA test.

The two of them met and talked for quite some time, trying to get to know each other. "It was like looking at a ghost. The blue eyes, the hair, everything. So I couldn’t stop staring at her. Like, you’re definitely my sister—for sure 1,000 percent," Morgan remarked. They figured out that both of them worked in real estate, too. Morgan was in real estate school at the time of their meeting and Dugan had been in the industry for 25 years, quite well-known in Las Vegas. After Morgan got her certification, they started "Sisters Selling Vegas" together for Realty ONE Group.

"It was the universe talking," Dugan admitted. She had been looking for someone to help her all along. So she felt that Morgan was the answer she needed. "I was so busy. I remember saying to someone, 'I need another me. I need someone who really likes to work and cater to clients and is not just in it for the paycheck, but in it for all the right reasons.' And there she is! We just came into each other’s life at the absolute perfect time." Both of them only had brothers growing up, so they were even more excited to have their sister around. "I always wanted a sister—always," Morgan continued.
Quite a few people who were unknowingly separated growing up experience such coincidences. Hoyle O’Brien and Meagan Hughes were working at the same hospital and had developed a close friendship with each other, per NBC News. Little did they know that the two of them were actually sisters. They had been adopted by different American families after being born in Korea over 40 years ago. One long conversation made the women feel a strong sense of connection and they decided to take a DNA test. They were shocked to find out that their feeling was right. The two of them were actually sisters. Both of them were glad to find each other again.
