Little kids are constantly exploring and learning new things about the world and themselves. In such moments, they might choose to do hilarious things, with or without permission from their parents. A little girl did something similar when she signed herself up for a talent show without asking her mom first. But her somersault performance was met with a great reaction from the crowd, making it all worthwhile. Aunt Ashley Kennedy, who goes by @ashleydkennedy14 on TikTok, shared her niece's adorable performance with the platform.

"My niece entered herself in a talent show without my sister knowing," the text overlay of the video read. The aunt recorded her niece as she stood in the middle of the well-decorated stage, fidgeting a little in front of all the people as she somersaulted. She paused for a moment as the crowd cheered and clapped for her. A few more somersaults followed and she waited each time for the crowd to show their support before continuing her performance. The girl walked and somersaulted all over the stage and the crowd hyped her up as she did that. She looked around to see people's reactions, who readily supported her through it.

The little girl even tried to do a handstand or cartwheel at one point and looked excited to show her skills to the crowd. The crowd hooted as the performance drew towards its end. Performing on the stage can help kids in various aspects of life, per Scholastic. Kids who perform are four times more likely to be recognized for their academic achievements than kids who don't. They might have better cognitive, motor and social development as well, per the outlet. They could be quick thinkers, good at expressing their emotions, have great self-esteem and more.

The video received more than 2.7 million views and over 239,600 likes. "Lol, I am dead. She signed the form herself," the caption by the aunt read. People just loved the clip. Although many thought it was kind of funny, they also appreciated the little girl's confidence and willingness to put herself out there. @originoregon wrote, "I love that the crowd supported her. That’s a tough age for getting out in front of an audience. She rocked her talent!" @kyra004vu commented, "My daughter entered herself into the talent show in 1st grade and didn’t say anything. She played the piano…she had never played the piano in her life till that day, lol. I need that confidence, lol."

@steph.kleinn remarked, "I’m honestly impressed by her independence. She signed herself up and was confident that she had it. Good job, Mama." Another user pointed out, "She used her entire stage. Too many people stay in one spot or only use the center, she was not afraid to take up all her space." @instant_monica shared, "My son signed up for the talent show in 3rd grade. I asked what he was going to do for it… he replied 'karate.' Ma’am. My son has never taken a karate class."
