Grandma nearly passed out on the road due to low blood sugar—then saw her 11-yr-old grandson do the unbelievable to save her

A person's poise and courage might come in really handy during an emergency situation. An 11-year-old boy, PJ, experienced that firsthand when his grandmother suffered from a medical emergency. The woman's blood sugar had dropped and she was about to pass out while she was spending time outside with her grandson. The boy noticed her state and made a quick decision that saved both of them from an accident, per 11Alive. His actions left his grandma in complete awe of his ability.

The woman, Angela Brewer-Laye, shared that she has a really close bond with her grandson and loves spending time with him. "He is an easy-going little fella. He loves playing outside." So she was spending time with her grandson outside on that fateful day as well. But soon after, she started feeling dizzy and her vision was blurring because of her low blood sugar. "He noticed the change in my demeanor and that's when he immediately sprang into action." Angela was trying to steady herself with the help of a stop sign when her grandson saw her. "I was leaning against the stop sign." She looked to her side and noticed that her grandson had managed to take out a car. He helped her in and started driving her to a safe place.

The woman was surprised by how well her grandson was driving the car and how calm he was throughout the ordeal. PJ also drove the car without causing any problems. His grandmother noted that the car didn't stray away from the road at all and stayed on its path. "He took it down into the driveway and into the garage." The boy had managed to drive his grandmother to safety in her car. However, his work wasn't done there. PJ hurried and brought his grandmother glucose tabs and some peanut butter crackers. Angela wondered how her grandson managed to drive the car so well. He revealed that his grandpa had asked him to move the car in the yard before, but he had never driven one on the street before.
The boy had never driven a car by himself either. "He is an extra special little boy and he never asks for anything in return," Angela continued. As the boy was about to turn 12, his grandma planned a special birthday surprise for him to show her gratitude for helping her through her health scare. People appreciated the boy's quick thinking and his driving in the comments section of the video.
