Clicking pictures after graduation is no news. Graduating folks also love to forward those pictures capturing their educational accomplishment to friends and family. But what if you end up sending those images to a wrong number? Coastal Carolina University's student Justin Campbell did just that, reported BuzzFeed. However, the 2017 graduate did not expect to get a wholesome reply from the stranger he had sent his pictures to.

Campbell had clicked two pictures with his fellow graduate friend and shared the story on his X handle, @YoungGus10. "Accidentally sent these pics to the wrong number yesterday. The response was legit tho. Really made me smile," Campbell wrote in the caption of the post while sharing the brief conversation he had with the stranger. Roger Hawkins was identified as the stranger who ended up replying to Campbell with his smiling selfie and giving an enthusiastic thumbs-up to the graduates. Hawkins also wrote, "Congrats fellas. The sky is the limit." He also attached a link to a motivational YouTube video in his reply.

Campbell talked to Buzzfeed and elaborated on the funny interaction. "I just put one number in the wrong place," he recalled to the outlet. "I was on the way home and I got a text message from an unknown number and it was a couple of guys in graduation clothes," Hawkins, a resident of South Carolina and a dad of three kids, told the outlet. "The link was, like, the icing on the cake," Campbell referred to the motivational video he received and deduced that Hawkins was a good person as he got positive vibes from him.

Hawkins also appeared under the X post of Campbell and reshared the motivational video once again for the online community. "I'm not a shy dude, as you can see. Happy to spread some love! Congrats again to you and your homie!" Hawkins commented. "I had a hard time in school and didn't finish. No one took the time to encourage me to do better. It took a lot of years of work to get right!" People on the internet left hundreds of comments to congratulate Campbell and wrote positive words for Hawkins too.

@KristiWonk commented, "You deserved it! Congrats on graduation, do great things! Make a difference and change the world!" @sherrygrey quipped, "That's so awesome and so is the guy who texted you back! Congrats on your graduation!" @trinacorbett mentioned, "Congratulations on your college graduation! That's my baby brother you texted. We've called him Bumper since birth. He's hilarious and real." @MSkiesTheLimit wrote, "Made me smile too! Also makes me hopeful for the future of humanity. Two good, decent and wonderful people. We just need a few billion more."

The best part of the whole interaction was the result of another mistake made by Campbell. Before posting the text screenshots on X, Campbell forgot to blur Hawkins' number on top of the post. As a result, many others ended up bombarding Hawkins with requests to send them motivational lines or just to cheer them up. Hawkins happily obliged and even replied to some of the people who shared their interaction in the comment section.
