Man approached a woman with a ‘perfect body’ at the gym and asked if she had liposuction — his next remark about his wife stunned everyone
People go to the gym to build their physique and are expected to keep an open mind about the appearances and bodies of others. A TikTok user, Chiamaka, recently shared an uncomfortable interaction she witnessed while working out with a friend. A man approached a stranger who had an athletic figure and asked if she had liposuction done. In the video shared on April 1, 2026, under her handle @chiamakafitbalance, the woman explained how the exchange became even more awkward when he followed up with a baffling comment about his wife.

The situation became tense after the man approached the gym goer and asked if she had undergone liposuction. She calmly replied that she had never had any procedures done and maintained her physique through cardio, healthy eating, and so on. When Chiamaka’s friend questioned why he would ask something so personal, he revealed that his wife, who had just had kids, had been requesting him to take her along so she could work out. However, he strongly believed that she should "just get liposuction." The comment immediately changed the mood around them. The stranger then asked why he couldn't simply help his spouse learn exercises or use gym equipment instead.
Even after suggesting that as a couple, the duo could work out together, he insisted that he did not think his wife would stay “consistent enough” and that liposuction would be easier. He went on to look at the gym goer and say, "It would be great if her body could look like yours." The man reportedly laughed after making the comment, expecting others to join in, but no one around him reacted. He eventually left, but his disappointing words remained with the women. Chiamaka later shared that she had noticed him before because he regularly tried to make eye contact with her at the gym, almost as if he wanted to start conversations, but she had always felt uncomfortable around him. That feeling became stronger after hearing the way he spoke about his partner.
Looking back, Chiamaka said the interaction bothered her because the man openly demeaned his wife shortly after she had children. She also pointed out how surprising it was that people making harsh comments about others often ignored their own appearance and behavior. In her video, she joked that men who speak this way frequently look like “chewed up homework." Many internet users later also chimed in and shared their opinions.
@laurenhollenbach0 exclaimed in the comment section, "May that love never find me!" @meenoothompson2 said, "I really love that you’re on here advocating for women! Love your energy and support!" @queenoftwinsc6 wrote, "This is disturbing! If he can be bold enough to say this to strangers, I’m afraid what he says to his wife!" @sentinelstitches commented, "I was a little sad about being single earlier, but I think I’m cured. Thanks, queen."
