Man confronted dating app match about two-timing with his best friend — her response wasn't what he expected
Being two-timed doesn't just hurt. It changes how you see the connection you thought you had. TikTok user Danny, who goes by @_vlow_, matched with a girl on Hinge and started talking. A little back-and-forth, some easy chemistry, and soon enough, they’d exchanged numbers. Later, he discovered he was matched with the same girl as his friend. Now, it is not uncommon in online dating, especially due to location proximity. However, the real shock came when he confronted the woman, and her reply was not what he expected. He shared the story on TikTok on November 20, 2025.
One weekend, when he was out with his close friends, he brought up the Hinge girl and told them that he was thinking about inviting her along. So he pulled up her profile to show them. That was when things took a turn. His friend went completely still, gave him the blankest look, and then revealed that he was talking to the same girl, too. Now, in the world of dating apps, that’s not exactly shocking. He shrugged it off and even told her about it, expecting the conversation to end there quietly. But instead, she added both of them to a group chat and said, “problem solved,” as if she just solved a scheduling conflict.
At first, he just sat there, trying to process the sheer boldness of it. Still, he didn't make a big deal out of it. After all, it was clear he didn't want to be on dating apps, calling it "putting myself on the clearance aisle." So, if she wanted to go out with his friend, that was her call. She did end up going on a date with his friend, and for a moment, it seemed like it might go somewhere. But then it "fizzled out." Just when he thought that chapter was closed, she circled back with, “Hey, I think I made the wrong choice.” At that point, it felt less like dating and more like a job interview. He was just a candidate she was revisiting after round one didn’t work out.
The comment section had a strong response, with many praising the sheer audacity of the woman because it's both hilarious and bizarre. @justababy joked, "You all should've pulled a 'This is war and may the best win,'" while @angelalwaysonmymind mentioned, "She’s genius for that. I want to be her friend." Some comments came as advice for dating apps, and one person's comment really stood out. @shannonnnnnnnnn1098 expressed, "Dating apps only allow people into your life that were never supposed to be."
Whether it is true or not, one might never know, but it is surely food for thought. In the end, Danny said he couldn't date someone who had also gone out with his friend, so he kept it simple and stayed friends with her, while she continued to entertain him with updates from her ever-evolving dating life. And honestly, with that level of boldness, you just know those stories are anything but boring.
