Man ran over when he saw neighbor's house on fire and put it out—neighbor's 'thank you' gift left him speechless

In many scenarios, neighbors step up to help each other in the most challenging times. One man did just that when he noticed that the pergola outside his neighbor's house was on fire. The family was not at home at that time and could have faced real damage if the man hadn't come in to help put out the fire. So, they decided to thank him with a wholesome gesture. The daughter of the family, Bella Baci, who goes by @bella.baci on TikTok, shared the incident with the platform. The video received over 184,800 views.

"Our pergola was set on fire when we weren't home. So our neighbor ran over and helped stop the fire before it spread to our house," the text overlay of the video read. "So my dad dedicated the new pergola to him with a plaque and a ribbon-cutting ceremony." In the video, the neighbor could be seen cutting the ribbon before he entered the space and saw that the pergola had been named after him. The dad happily showed the plaque to the neighbor, who was really surprised by the gesture from the family. He looked really emotional as he took in everything that was happening around him at that time.

"I don't think I've seen anything more wholesome in my entire life," the caption read. "What makes it even more emotional is the fact that my dad built this pergola himself. So the fact that my neighbor was able to stop the fire before it completely burned to the ground is so big," Baci explained through one of the comments on the video. The clip also received over 47,900 likes. People were really moved by the incident and appreciated the neighbor and the dad in the comments section of the video. Many people also shared their own experiences with their neighbors.

This is so cute." @chillin.it commented, "I love that dad still has the confidence to have a woodfire pizza oven under the pergola. Boomers' resistance to anxiety is truly astounding. Hahah, enjoy your pizzas!" @chloeghammod remarked, "Our car caught on fire in our carport one night at like 3 am and coincidentally, our neighbor was walking his dog and saw it. He woke us up to get us out of the house. If it weren't for him, I don't know what would’ve happened."

@craig_tod shared, "People are still good and do still have kind hearts, people like your neighbor and your dad. What a wonderful way to repay thanks!" @neweliseonlife expressed, "This is so sweet. For them to help save all your parents have worked for and for your dad to show them how much he truly appreciates them." @keeks24_ pointed out, "I got locked out on break a few weeks back and I immediately went to my neighbor for help. A village is so needed." Baci often shares aspects of her life as a kindergarten teacher. In one video, she shared how it was a struggle to remove Velcro drops that kids put on their tables.
