Christmas means children penning down letters to the dearest Santa Claus, hoping he would bring all the presents they have ever wanted. Mostly, their hopeful letters consist of requests for a new toy or something they would love to own. At the end of the day, these presents are brought in by the adults and parents and gifted to the kids secretly. But a little girl named Nadia thinks a bit differently from people her age.

So, her mom Diana Vasquez Prado shared a letter that her daughter had written to Santa with Love What Matters. "Dear Santa Claus. Since you have been giving us presents every year, this year, I ask for nothing," the 8-year-old girl wrote on a paper in crooked handwriting. "I have toys, a home, a family and love. So this year, I want to make you something. So tell me what you want. I will make it. Love, Nadia." The emotional and thoughtful letter was discovered by Prado after which she decided to share it with the internet.

"My 8-year-old daughter left this note for our Elf, Twinkle, to take to Santa. When I found it, my heart melted, and I cried. Our favorite holiday is Christmas, and I’ve always tried to instill the true spirit of Christmas into each of my daughters. Christmas is about love, happiness and overall, family. There are times that we doubt ourselves as parents. There are times that we wonder if we’re doing a good enough job raising good people," Prado wrote about the letter. She also added that her daughter has "learned that family is everything and love is the most important thing" not the gifts under a tree. "She has learned the spirit of giving. So, relax, Santa! Enjoy your moment to be pampered. This Christmas, we’re giving back!" the post concluded.

Prado shared a second comment, attaching her daughter's picture with it. "This is my Nadia, the little girl who wrote the letter. She is a fun-loving, happy person who rarely has a bad day. She genuinely loves everybody. Thank you, everybody, for all of your kind words. I’ll make sure they reach her," the proud mom commented. The comment section appreciated the little girl on how she was able to recognize the real gifts we get in our lives and it's not the materials we get wrapped in shiny papers.

Amy Hirt Jacobs commented, "That’s so sweet! In our house, we always leave a few things for Santa to take with him for those less fortunate. Usually warm gloves and hats, a scarf or a new toy. Santa always eats our cookies and makes sure someone who needs something receives it." Kelley Whitton remarked, "That is so sweet! Every year at Christmas, I would make Santa something to bring back with him to the North Pole I always felt bad that he never got anything and he was always giving to kids. So I wanted him to always bring something back to let him know that I loved him." Meg Em shared, "Oh my goodness this is beautiful. My 8-year-old daughter blew me away too this. She asked if we could go and help in a kitchen to hand out food on Christmas day."
